Location is near the main station, but that's about it. One of our colleagues' rooms got broken into and his laptop was stolen. The staff did not really help when he complained. The door of the rooms use old keys, which may be the reason why the rooms are easily broken into. The building looks old and smells old. I don't know where they get those "4 stars" from. Small rooms by the way.

Breakfast is not included, there's no air conditioning, WiFi connection is very very slow, most of the time is impossible to surf.

Staff was great, spoken english which I needed. The construction going on the main street outside the hotel. Started at 6-7am right outside my window. My stay was in mid May 2011.

The location was great besides the street construction right at the front entrance of the hotel. The bathroom was not clean before available. I was suppose to stay for 2 days but only stayed one b/c I wasn't comfortable.

Friendly reception. Offered drinks during waiting time check-in. Location close to centre. At breakfast: mostly couples, mix of young, old and businesmen. Variety is ok, coffee: we receive a whole can. Always a +. Good and correct service. Works in progress in the whole street, read: drilling machines and a lot of stuck traffic. They started 7u.30, so that was my wake-up call :).Parking closest at Galeria Kauphof, 1 day for 20 eur (!). Obliged: winter tires and Umweltsticker (!)

A friendly hotel well situated for walking into the city. Quiet and clean and very comfortable beds. Staff where very helpful. Breakfast seemed expensive, better to go to a local cafe as it was cheaper and better food.

The room was lovely the bathroom was fantastic and the Value for money was excellent. The staff were really helpfull And I can't fault anything! we stayed in a gorgeous room on the top floor which had a roof terrece, which is a nice feature and a few plants and removing of the weeds would make this so much nicer!(it should be noted that there is a lot of work going on outside the hotel too!)

. The staff were extremely helpful and very polite. If we stay in Dusseldorf again I would have no problems staying at the same hotel. Unfortunately there were a lot of road works on the go at the time therefore the restaurant was closed. The room was very warm so we opened the windows but due to the location it was a bit noisy until lafter in the evening. Tea making facilities were advertised but we had to ask for them, however it was no problem and the staff most helpful.

The staff was friendly. We booked a double room, but we got a single room. We booked it just hours in advance, soo we got it cheap (75 Euros). The standard price was 260 euros. And if I had payed that I would be very, very very dissapointed. For 75 Euros this was ok, nothing more.

After a one night stay, surprised this hotel has a 4-star rating, at best it's a 3-star. The room too warm, unclear how to lower temp, windows can't be opened because of the noise of the street, bathroom low comf & not very well cleaned. .
