*The rather charming and rustic atmosphere of the place - as far removed from corporate blandness as could be. The décor, furniture and fittings aren't the most 'cutting edge', but everything is clean and everything works.
*The breakfast room, which again looks out across the water, and has reassuringly old-fashioned table linen and a very personal touch in terms of its décor. A very good buffet spread to help yourself from, and everything was really fresh and appetising.
