Ubicación centrica y cerca del Altstadt.

Excelente ubicación. Habitación muy cómoda con buen colchón y almohadas confortables. Baño de buen tamaño. Muy bueno el desayuno buffet, con mucha variedad para elegir, mermeladas caseras, jugos etc. Realmente no dudaría en volver a este hotel. Totalmente recomendable.

Fantastic location on Carlsplatz in the old town area and near the Rhine promenade, comfortable room, very friendly staff made me feel completely welcome. Even had tubes of mints for people to take away! Also free internet for two different devices, a welcome change from the other hotels I stayed in in Germany.

N/A: Although I had a room facing the front it was not noisy and I slept well.

The simplicty of arriving no trouble at all -Parking garage right next to hotel, We have a dog. So, park within walking distance down the street. On the weekends a big market open across from hotel. 5 minute walk from Centrum, Nice buffet set up for Breakfast, Hotel staff really friendly definitely coming back!

Breakfast area was maxed out hardly any place to sit. Our plates were cleared while we were up getting more items fo breakfast Kitchen area bad odor in hallway as we passed to our room

Me and my colleagues have always enjoyed our stay at the Carat Hotel. The location is very good.

Last week we were unable to come due to very bad weather in the Ruhr Area. We wanted to shift our reservation to another day. The hotel staff was very rude to us and demanded a full cancelation fee of 250 euro. This is not the way you treat loyal customers. Our company has blacklisted the Carat Group of hotels as from now.

I think the hotel was totally overpriced for what it has to offer, not very good value for money at all. Don't get me wrong, it's ok, but it's spartanic, and for 140/night it wasn't good enough, at all. Second morning the shower was only luke warm, there was no soap left, there was no shower cap, no proper shampoo & conditioner, the desk was in a dark corner of the room. Very unimpressed, wouldn't want to stay here again.

Rooms too old, could use some renovation. Windows are not insulated and the noise from the street is pretty loud.

The location near city market and Christmas market was excellent.

The bed was of poor quality. Sheets felt unappealing and bed was very basic and was not comfortable. I felt bed was below par even for a budget friendly facility. The food on the hot breakfast buffet was cold. Eggs were cold and unappealing. However everything else such as cold cuts and cheese was fine.

Its closeness to the old town.

The room was rather small and very hot and opening the window meant you had alot of strret noise so we were unable to have a good nights sleep, it would have been good to have had the option of using the airconditiong but it is turned off in the winter.

Super Hotel

Location was superb and ideal for Old Town and Christmas Markets. The breakfast was great with a very good selection. Free to leave luggage in hotel after check-out. Free safe in room.

No Tea/Coffee making facilities in our room type. Old TV with no English channels or pay options.

I booked this hotel so we could visit the Christmas Market in Düsseldorf. The location was perfect right next to the Aldstat. I noticed when booking in that the receptionists were friendly, very efficient and spoke excellent English. I found the room very comfortable, it included a mini bar and a Nespresso coffee machine. I have to say also that the bed was a pleasure to sleep in. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet the next morning, which is available until 11:00. Again the staff were professional and friendly. At breakfast there were also some hot choices as well as cold. This hotel also has free wifi and discounted parking in the multi story car park next door to the hotel.

Before parking your car you need to get a parking card from the hotel reception, there is a small "drop off" area in front of the doors but it was being used when we arrived. You have to “scan” the card to get in and out of the car park, after use the card then should be returned to the hotel.

Location.

The Non Smoking Rooms smelt of smoke. TV was old and remote did not work. Need satallite TV, for English channel and NEWS.

Central position, close to the city center

On the south end of the Alstadt district. Easy walk to the main sites and restaurants. The hotel has an outstanding breakfast buffet in the morning that is included in the fare.

The single elevator was not working all weekend. We had to carry 2 heavy bags up 4 floors to our room. (There is a 5th floor, so it could have been worse.) Then walked up and down all weekend for breakfast, touring, etc. It was broken on Friday afternoon, and they said it would be fixed "in a few hours.....leave your bags in the lobby..." Well by Sunday it still wasn't fixed.

Excellent location right near Old Town and the Rhine Promenade. The staff was all very nice and helpful.
