Excellent customer service by Ralph in the bar. Breakfast buffet was very nice. Nice pool and sauna.

No towels were provided for use in the pool or sauna. Customers had to use the ones from their room and get them replaced. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Dinner felt 'rushed' - staff were constantly at table clearing away. Machinery noise (lift, pool pump?) next to room.

We love Monschau, and Karat Hotel is a nice hotel in a small village. The New year party and dinner was a nice organization, and successful. Nice breakfast.

The option to eat either a full meal or just a snack in the bar rather than having to go into the restaurant. Excellent choice at breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

The swimming pool was wonderful to relax after the long drive. The buffet dinner and breakfast were both excellent.

Problems with wifi connexion because of misinformation from reception. Solved the next day, but then we had no time left to check our mail etc.

Perfect location, very clean rooms , great breakfast, swimming pool on the small side no chance to swim.

The hotel staff were the most unfriendly of hotel I have stayed. The receptionist had 3 attempts at getting bill correct. This feature alone made the experience a negative one .

Het buffet viel erg tegen. Brood was op en ook niet meer te bestellen. Meeste 'warme' voedsel was lauw.

Decor a bit tired in places.

Monschau is beautiful and well worth a visit. The hotel is quite close to the town - 300m away from the centre. It is quiet and has good facilities.

The room was a bit tired and worn. Only one small soft pillow. Otherwise pretty unremarkable - basic even.

When we arrived at the hotel we were relocated to an office building opposite so any facilities that may have been in the hotel were not on offer to us.

Hotel decor was very tired. Evening buffet was not great, either gastronomically or in terms of price - probably better off getting something in the town.

The location, the setting. Friendly staff. Swimming pool was good but the water was a little cold for me.

The dark bedroom. very low lighting making it difficult to read. Food was not quite what we expecting for a 4 star hotel, it seemed to cater for the 'mass' market, the breakfast was not always hot ( srambled eggs). Car parking; ther was not always a space to park and we had to park on the road.

Being located in the annexe accross the main road which also contains a busy doctors surgery. Crossing the road to use the swimming pool to find we should have brought room towels. Room not serviced

good first stop from Calais hotel within short walking distance of centre of Monschau plenty of good restaurants. Hotel room very clean excellent breakfast.
