Good location for visiting Monschau. Very nice personnel. Good service.

Wifi should be free and not € 5/day

Location of the hotel was fantastic. A short walk into the beautiful town of Monschau. The buffet dinner was very nice too. Rooms were comfortable, clean and warm. Couldn't fault this hotel at all.

Location close to town.

Car Parking insufficient. Pay for WIFI.

Its location was perfect for exploring the town and the Christmas market. The room was very dated but clean and functional and the tv was modern and worked perfectly. The staff could cope with many languages and communication was not a problem. A little face lift and more individuality would do this hotel good.

When full of coach parties there is no a la carte menu just a canteen style buffet and individual guests are treated as part of the coach parties whether they wish it or not. The hotel car park was to be paid for and only one single blue badge parking place in it, and occupied for most of our stay by a non-badge car that the hotel was not prepared to move.

The hotel is very well situated near the center of the town

Supposedly there was ventilation in the rooms but ours was not functioning at all. The heat was unbearable because our room was on the attic and we had to sleep with our window open. So the noise from guests outside was loud. Also there was a standing noise from the lift nearby, so we didn't get much sleep. Due to the information from guests on booking.com, we had asked for a room at the back but the only room they had for us was this one facing the front. We complained about it all but he personnel were not helpful in any of these situations.

Very good and welcoming reception from Vanessa. Excellent pool facilities. Food and bar well priced.

The hotel is used by Coach Parties . There were 2 there with us and frankly swamped the hotel facilities. With only one elevator and the Restaurant on the 3rd floor and Swimming pool on the 5th floor there was a constant wait. Our toilet actually smelled which is almost unheared of in Germany. We checked out after one night and did not take up the second booked night.

road noise and people shouting loudly outside up until 03.30 am on both nights. on leaving we were asked if our stay was ok by the receptionist and when we told her about the noise all she said was that on arrival we should have asked for a room at the rear. How were we to know it would be so noisey ?

Expensive drinks, evening buffet ran out extremely quickly, salad bar not replenished at all, main meals topped up after many complaints

Das Hotel liegt am Stadtrand von Monschau. Die historische Innenstadt ist in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter ist hervorzuheben. Das Frühstücksangebot ist vielseitig und großzügig und stets nachgefüllt!l Schmutziges Geschirr wurde schnell vom Tisch abgeräumt.

Das Hotel ist ein nettes Haus, wie oben beschrieben, aber warum ihm 4 Sterne zugestanden sind, ist uns ein Rätsel! Die Zimmer sind klein, das Badezimmer ebenso und ziemlich "in die Jahre gekommen"! Es müßte dringendst renoviert werden. Auffallend ist, daß überwiegend "ältere Semester" Gäste sind und mehr ausländische als deutsche! Als wir logierten befanden sich Engländer, Belgier und Niederländer in der Überzahl. Das war nicht störend, aber jedes Volk hat ja seine bestimmten Riten, sei es beim Essen, an der Bar oder nur in der Lounge sitzend!

Wij zijn voor de derde keer naar hotel carat geweest . het is een leuk hotel ,mooie kamer ,goed eten en mooi gelegen dicht bij het centrum.

Fijne kamer en uitstekend ontbijt

Kamers aan de voorkant hebben last van het verkeersgeluid (bij openstaande ramen) Parkeerplaats vol in de buurt moeten parkeren

Locatie, kamers even nr's netheid , prima matrassen, ontbijt zeer lekker en uitgebreid, parking.. spa zwembad...gewoon tof.

Maar 1 lift,soms lang wachten bij drukte receptie en bar gedateerd, kan gezelliger.
