Literally right by Holzhauser Straße U-Bahn (metro/underground) station, with easy access to the center (I'd say about 15-20 min); big room; nice bathroom; neighborhood seemed ok (didn't see much of it, since the metro is close) not expensive; breakfast was pretty good (no hot dishes, but still pretty varied) and they serve it earlier if someone's checking out really early (like us, at 4h30). There's a taxi station in front of the hotel, and there ALWAYS seemed to be taxis there. We took one at 5 o'clock, it was just 12 euros to the airport; the taxi driver was efficient and, from our flight time and destination, quickly deduced which terminal to take us to (we hadn't even thought about that).

Electrical installation in the room was a little weird; no bathtub drain-stopper in the bathroom (at least I didn't find it) so we could fill it up. It's fairly close to the airport, yes, but if you intend on using the airport bus, the bus connection is two U-Bahn stations closer to the center, in Karl-Schumacher Platz, so if you find something there, it might suit you a little better. If you're the kind of person that needs to come back to the hotel often, and you're visiting the central areas of Berlin, maybe you'll prefer something closer; still, this is cheap and the U6 line connects it directly to Friedrichstraße.

In summary: Excellent value for money! The room is spacious, bed comfortable, well sound proof, clean and the breakfast is nice. Also convenient free on site parking (limited spots) and close to s Bahn station. Staff are helpful and friendly. We had a great stay!

We booked a double room but the beds were far apart diagonally opposite each other ...would have been nicer if they were joined double beds. We didn't mind and so didn't ask for a change. Old furniture, but good enough for a comfortable stay. Beds may not fit extra tall people.

Although it's a very simply hotel, everything was in perfect order, clean and tidy. The staff was really nice, made a lot of things easier for us and were very helpful at all of the occasions we needed

Friendly staff and good location

Close to Tegel airport, can be reached by bus and metro (changing from bus to metro is neccessary). As close to the metro, that I could watch the metro trains at the station from my window. Not a luxury place, but good value for money.

Nothing about the hotel itself, but the surrounding area does not offer much. Still by using the nearby metro you get to the city center in reasonable time.
