The Hotel Central was completely remodelled and renovated in 1995, the lobby was enlarged, the bistro and junior suites were build new. The garage is locked and video-surveyed. A 3 minutes walk through a park takes you to the main railroad-station. Within a 5 minutes drive you are at the highway. The centre and main road for shopping is a 10 minutes walk and the sightseeing parts like the castle, the old university, the old bridge etc. are a 20 minutes walk away.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean and the location was good for easy access to the train station and a short walk to the Haupt Strasse

I don't know that I'll ever get used to the hand-held shower head and no curtain that seems to prevail in many european hotels. The tub, tho, was large enough for a good soak!

there was a bar in the hotel, but this entailed requesting a drink at
reception and drinking it there

Location.

Requested they reserved a Parking Space, received no confirmation & parked on the Street. Didn't use the WI-FI due to Charges & complicated Connection Process.

Quiet hotel despite location to railway stn. Helpful staff who came out of hotel as soon as we arrived on the motorbike to open the secure parking gate.

A little out of central Heidelberg but buses were excellent and cheap.

Friendly and close to the station

Although it is close to the station, by definition it is quite a long way from the older (attractive) part of Heidelberg
