The room is ok. The staff isn't friendly, especially the one who handle the payment. Accidentally I left my cellphone in my room after I checked out. I tried to call the number stated in their website, no one answered! I sent several emails to them, no reply!

breakfast was absolutely wonderful; we went there to see the documenta 13, a contemporary art show; staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and really helpful with what we were interested in

Every thing, the breakfast was especially good. It is a long walk into the centre of Kassel, but you are very near a tram stop.

The hotel is well run with professional staff. The rooms are well equipped and maintained. Breakfast is a deal. The hotel is situated further from the main venues of Documenta and tramways were somewhat infrequent on the Sunday.

There is much to like - the presence of Miriam Schonauer-Seidel, her command of English and advice, and her friendly, efficient staff. Breakfast was excellent. I was made to feel like more than a guest. I like the intimacy of Hotel Chassalla, the personal attention, the convenience to the tram, station and documenta. Highly recommended!
