the hotel is clean, close to underground, location is good, breakfast is delicious

no elevator

Outstanding location with the U-Bahn just outside the door, breakfast has limited selection but bountiful, our room included 2 additional rooms with 2 bunk beds and was roomy,

The hallway and room lights are a bit dark.

Location good, with good access to public transport - underground immediately outside hotel with frequent service. Breakfast adequate and rooms large enough to accommodate four people. Rooms were warm, dry and linen plentiful and clean.

With the exception of one receptionist, staff rude and unhelpful. A smile would not go amiss or an acknowledgement that you exist!

A staff on duty of day shift 30, Nov and 1st, Dec 09 in reception is quite rude and not helpful. our room on level 5/6, there is no lift.

the room was big full with furniture.breakfast was good in time and contents suitable.

the main hall is small and separated from the rooms.some from the staff were non-friendy : they donot look to u while you are talking with thim?!!!!

I liked the room - it was clean, cosy and beautiful. I liked the lamp in my room. It was nice and romantic.

It was not so warm as I expected it to be. It was not really quite and I could hear what's going on outside the room. The hotel stuff was unbelievable. It was not a great welcoming, they were not really helpful and when I got back at the next day my chip card didn't work anymore (with no reason).

The breakfast was very nice!

Our room was very clean and comfortable, the location was great, underground station just in front of the hotel and just 2 stops to city centre. The breakfast is included and is really good. I would recommend this hotel for its good standard and great value for your money.

The only problem is that we've booked a double room and specified that we wanted a double bed but we got 2 twin beds put together. At the reception but they said they have no double beds. The area around the hotel is under construction and does not look very good but this was no problem as we were close to city centre.

Schwarzchof U-Bahn station (U6 line) is right outside the door so is ideal for Tegel airport and access to the city centre.

Teenagers on a school trip were staying there and made noise continuously throughout the night. I had trouble sleeping and the lack of sleep from this noise ruined my stay at this otherwise pretty decent budget hotel.

The hotel was warm and the room spacious and the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely and food fresh

The decor was a bit run down

The staff was welcoming and helpful, the buffet breakfast provided was filling . The location was good with great transportation links right outside the door.

The biggest let down is the lack of a lift, we had 90 steps to climb to our room quite a job when you have luggage, disabled or elderly.

Room was clean, bathroom modern. Nice to have a hairdryer.

Whenever we went to desk there was a delay in service. We arrived early in morning but had to wait until after 2pm to get our room. Many hotels will give you your room earlier if available. This was a definite negative for this hotel. Also no elevator for rooms upstairs was a negative.
