Our main activity in Germany is shopping.
Our main activity in Germany is shopping. Since many of the individual shops gave gone in favour of chains in Palais Vest we no longer spend much time in Recklinghausen centre. We used to do 2 or 3 visits per trip. Barbara's shop is a newly found treasure trove and we did return there a couple if times, but not any other shops in the centre.

Beatifull town with so many churches.
Beatifull town with so many churches. Also the was a carnival in town when we where there and it was the biggest one I have ever seen. We ate at a local pizza place and it was delicious. Also if you don't speak German that's fine , because everyone speaks English
Genuine inn like atmosphere. Brilliant location in old town, near everything I wanted in Recklinghausen. Room had super king bed and tv and toiletries in bathroom. Family run makes a difference. They let me check in early ! Home cooked food in the restaurant and cosy beer garden out front. And the price was a bargain. What a find.
Large room and quiet nights. Location is not very central, but not a problem if you are by car, and the Restaurant associated to the Hotel with a delicious Greek menu is absolutely great! it makes it all worth to stay a bit off-central. Everyone did their best, during dinner and breakfast, to accommodate our gluten-free needs.
The building seems to have been historically an old type of hotel. It was well modernized and renovated. The rooms were also not as small as one would expect from an older hotel.
Also the breakfast has many different options (vegan as well) to make you feel full.
it was close to the centre. I was there for a church conference and everything was easily accessible from the hotel. I also had my dog with me and it easy to take it for a walk around the property. The food at the restaurant was also good.
good, clean, simple rooms. Everything worked well and it was a comfortable room. The location is the middle of the town, but it was still very quiet. The car part is directly under the hotel and easy to access.
Excellent hotel with amazing level of attention to detail. Well-trained and friendly staff with exceptional service. Hotel area with nice common areas with antique charme, inviting to rest and relax.
The hotel is new. The rooms are small but comfortable and have everything you need (even an iron and ironing board. Breakfasts are ok, but lacked scrambled eggs and cake. Very central location.
Kind staff, spacious room with new, trendy furniture, parking for disabled people fixed in front of the hotel entrance. A Mall is a 1-minute walk away. Excellent coffee.
This was our second time booking the hotel and everything from cleanliness to staff assistance was amazing. The staff were very helpful when we need anything from them.
