Perfect location. Very helpful staff.
In the shower room there should be a special little gadget to put one's soap, shampoo , etc. It would have been nice to have in breakfast other forms of egg beside the boiled one.
Good quality breakfast and big spacious rooms.
Staff were unhelpful and wifi only worked on the bottom floor however didn't for our stay due to unexplained reasons. The elevator was constantly used by workmen and guets weren't able to use it
I like the african guy that work there, he is a great access to your hotel. Regards Olaoye
The towels were very old. In the shower there wasn't hot water nor pressure...
Room: good shower, very comfortable bed. 5 minutes walk from Komische Oper and 30 seconds from U Bahn to Deutsche Oper etc!!
Noisy lift: the fact that if one stays at the hostel for more than one night(I stayed five) one's room is not cleaned/serviced and one has to pay one euro for a clean towel. Those who stay one night are better treated in comparison! (I've still booked to stay again: it's a friendly, comfortable place! - and SO convenient!
- position, 20 meters from metro and very central - cheap buffet breakfast - power sockets close to beds - you don't have to make your bed (but it's risky because you could find your bed dirty)
- bathroom inside the bedroom (sink in particular), too noisy if you share rooms with people with different timings - sheets on my bed were dirty (probably somebody slept there)
Location. It was right beside the subway so it was very easy to travel.
The "Free WiFi" was terrible. Could not connect most of the time.
perfect location , helpful staff
very bad internet connection , inadequate outlet ( 2 socket for 6 person), old bathroom and furnitures
Location is excellent from where we can access all the major point very easily.
wifi system was very slow although it was working.
The location is excellent for multiple transport links, and is in the middle of many of the main attractions of Berlin's city centre. Reasonably well maintained rooms, a decent communal area and bar with lounging area.
Our en sutie bathroom was a bit small and in reality they could use up more of the overall room space for it as there was quite a bit of empty floor space in the rest of the room. Also the floor tended to flood slightly with showering and didn't seem to have anywhere to drain/ needed a towel to soak up all the excess.
The hostel itself is quite clean and the beds are quite good and my room overlooked the Main Street and was sunny. Was good for a solo traveler. I would recommend four person dorm because it has a private bathroom. The shower leaked all over the floor or maybe it was my roommates. I slept really well and liked the chargers in the room. You can't really ask for a better location it's right in mitte and really close to the subway. The hostel has a decent breakfast fir five Euros be aware it says everywhere free, it's not included. It's decent nothing amazing toast coffee ham and cheese and a boiled egg but fine. The bar is quite nice and has cheap beer. I always bring earplugs to hostels and in my experience in Berlin you should understand people go party there so it's relatively quieter than other places but bring earplugs!!
Staff! The whole time the staff were quite rude especially the girl with long black hair and bangs who first wouldn't help me even tho she wasn't doing anything then when I asked for water told me they didn't sell bottles of water then magically there were bottles that appeared in the fridge..I Saw it and grabbed one and went to pay she didn't say anything. I don't know if it was just my first night but they were totally unhelpful. The day I left there were two very nice blond girls working at the desk who were lovely. But the desk is in general disorganized and takes forever especially around breakfast Bevause you wait in line to pay your five euros even tho it's advertised all over as free. Lame.
Staff were rude and unhelpful
Location is the best. Free Wifi Buffet Breakfast
Size of the room Not enough electric sockets for all the people
I didnt expect that much because it was christmas season, so i thought its gonna be super busy and crowded. However, it was really quiet and we had nice connection of wifi, breakfast, and cleaned room! Bathroom is in each room and they give me a free towel, too! Subway station is right in front of this hostel and most of things are in walking distance :)
Good location for accessing to many attractions
poor wifi signal with slow speed
I came from Hungary, and the staff was very friendly, I would say this hostel actually could look like a hotel too. It was really clean, modern, and nice, and comfortable, very nice bathroom too. Prices are good, and I met many friends. I highly recommend and I'm sure I'll be back. It is near the Brandenburg tor so it is really the center, also near the HBF which is excellent, I did not have to use metro or bus. It is just great!
Location was excellent, easy to find and navigate from. Door had some problems but was attended to and solved ASAP! Staff were nice and friendly and were willing and able to help in many ways.
Great location. Easy public transportation. Comfy bed. Helpful reception. Speak English.
Lack of info of area & public transportation. Nude male picture next to bed,
lack of hot water in morning, problems with key to the room, intense smell of paint from the next door renovated room
Location Clean restrooms Staff Clean beds
Damaged bed frames
Bathroom in room. Comfy Beds Heater Power Points A lot of Room Lockers
Not a "happening" party spot.
The breakfast was excellent, the most important thing for me, is walking distance. I enjoyed my stay in Berlin.
Location: close to U-bahn, Potsdamer Platz and Brandenburg gate. Price: cheap comparing to hotels. We had two single beds in the room and one bunk bed (instead of 2 bunk beds).
The towels were dark and partially dirty. The smell in the room was not fresh. The breakfast was edible though cheap (there were no espresso or cappuccino, poor choice of sausage, no fresh fruits). I would say that interior needs renovation.
All the above of course
Nothing in particular really! OK hostel for large groups of young people I reckon. Not great for a young couple, unless you have low expectations.
A very rude receptionist, some guy with longish hair and a baseball cap, who couldn't grasp that we'd booked an extra night the day before arriving. He implied we were stupid for not printing out a confirmation (what year is this) and as soon as he realised he was in the wrong he sloped off and left someone else to finish checking us in (who was actually a nice guy). The rude guy also told us we'd have to check out of our room after one night, leave our bags and then check in later the next day. SO the next day when we did vacate the room at 10am, take our backpacks downstairs and explain this to another receptionist, he said there was no need. There was then a problem with our key card that took 20 minutes to resolve. All silly things that I wouldn't expect from a hostel of this size but it did leave us with a bad impression of the place.
