City Hotel Karlsruhe

The location very close to the city centre and main shopping streets was very convenient, as well as the good access to trams. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel breakfast (included in the price), while not extensive, was perfectly adequate.

My main complaint would be the rather intimidating entrance: the hotel can only be accessed via a narrow lift, opening directly onto the street (which was also obscured by roadworks, but that's not their fault). Not only did this make finding the place quite difficult, but it's a bit unnerving when checking in, to stand waiting for a lift and hoping it actually takes you to the hotel. This also made getting in an out a bit inconvenient, as there is just the one lift, and no stairs (there are stairs but trying to use them will leave you trapped behind locked doors). Also the free WiFi (for which I was very grateful) had very poor signal, and kept cutting out, until I realised that sitting on the other side of the room from the desk got me much better signal.

The hotel is located in the town-center with excellent connections of S-bahn, parking lot is just on the back of the hotel with excellent pricing (5 Euros for 24 hours) and just in the beginning of the shopping mile. Staff is extremely helpful and gentle. Hotel and rooms are very clean and perfect for short stays in the city. Breakfast is a little bit minimalistic but still manageable.

Lots of noise starting at 7.00 am. From the construction site below the hotel (same situation all across Karlsruhe). Hotel a little bit difficult to find in the first place since it has only an elevator entry on the side of the street but not a nuisance after all.

Tha breakfast its great! they have fresh fruits, cheese and all what one may want to eat in a nice breakfast. The staff very friendly, and the location was perfect to know the city.

Workers are making a subway that will cross the city, that's why when you get out of the hotel there is a lot of mess and noise on the street. But there's no noise at all in the hotel, just its not that nice when you get out!

The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, staff were service minded. It was good value for money

It would have improved the room had it had air conditioning.

Hotels in Karlsruhe are expensive, this was the better of two budget options I sampled

Sehr freundliches Personal, Sehr gut Schallisoliert vom Strassenlärm,Stadtnah, alles mit zu Fuss oder Bus und Bahn zu erreichen.

Einzelzimmer sehr klein , Waschbecken im Eingang vom Zimmer,Dusche und Toilette im Extraraum waren ok.

Die Lage war sehr gut, es waren viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sowie Restaurants und Bars in der Nähe. Es war sauber und es war günstig.

In dem Badezimmer gab es nur eine Wanne ohne einen Vorhang zum Duschen. Das Frühstück war eher sparsam, es hat an Auswahl gefehlt.

Nettes Personal, ansprechendes kleines Zimmer.

Innenstadtlage, mit dem Auto nicht direkt erreichbar. D.h. im Parkhaus parken und zu Fuß zum Hotel gehen.

Die absolut zentrale Lage mitten in der Innenstadt und der damit verbundene sehr gute Anschluß an Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel (insbesondere auch zum Hauptbahnhof) sind ideal für Bahnreisende.

Winziges Zimmer: 1,50 m breit, davon 1 m das Bett, sehr schmutziger Teppichboden, unfreundliches Personal, Bad schmutzig, Handtücher mit Rissen, Frühstück sehr einfach, Kaffee ungenießbar, sehr hellhörig, man hört den Nachbarn atmen und versteht jedes Wort! Finger weg! Nicht zu empfehlen! Schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhätnis!

Zentrale Lage

Mitten in der Stadt, da ich geschäftlich unterwegs war.

Zimmer und Bad sehr klein, Frühstück minimalistisch, Dosenobst, ohne jeglichen Komfort

Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. La coppia che gestisce l'albergo è gentilissima. Posizione in centro alla città e nelle immediate vicinanze posteggio a pagamento (solo 5 euro al giorno).

Si raggiunge l'albergo con un ascensore dalla strada, perciò si è scettici all'inizio. Ma una volta saliti al terzo piano l'albergo si rivela carino e pulitissimo.

ontbijtbuffet, matig en erg vroeg( in weekend tot 10 uur) als je aan de voorkant slaapt is het erg gehorig en ook de kamers onderling

Sehr zentral gelegen, direkt am Europaplatz! Super Frühstück, sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal. Die hofseitigen Zimmer sind sehr ruhig. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist einzigartig.

Im Hotel alles ok, aber meine Bemerkung auf der Buchung wurde von booking.com dem Hotel nicht weitergeleitet, nämlich Anschluss-buchungen 22.-24.02; 15.-17.03 und 5.-7.04. Habe beim letzten Aufenthalt das Fehlende nachgeholt. Soweit alles i.O. (hoffentlich)
