It was clean
Everything so old & cheap
Location and breakfast were ok. The staff was nice and helpfull.
They never mentioned lack of elevator. Free parking means that you leave your car on the road, not paying but they don't have private parking. The room was noisy (I could hear the guy on the other room taking a shower) and not properly clean.
Good breakfast and location.Near ku'damm u-bahn s-bahn and shopping.
Reception men not so interested helping you no service-mind and smiling faces. Cool room.
Location and good transport links. Within walking .distance of Zoo Bahnhof.
The WiFi was at times unreliable.
The thing i liked most was the asian girl working on the reception. Simply the most beautifull i girl have seen in the 4 days i spent in Berlin. And trust me Berlin has to offer so many beautifull girls that its really hard to believe. The breakfast was also very good. The room was nice and clean. Good connections with public transport. Good value fir the money.
The only thing that bothered me was that in the room there is no ligjt on the ceeling but only thoose standing ones.
Close proximity to public transportation
Location is ok
The hotel / pension is in an old/dark building without maintenance. We booked 2 rooms, one was good, the other look like a University dorm. The "Wi-Fi" is very poor (at least in the second floor), you might need to go downstairs to the reception. You could hear the TV from other rooms. Breakfast is ok, nothing really special besides that I asked for warm milk and the staff said: "We don't have warm milk" and they didn't do anything else. For the same price I'd rather stay in a hostel directly in the city center.
The only thing good is the breakfast and the staffs.
Everything sucks, wifi don't work inside the room but only at the reception area. Location, fair enough but the building is under construction at the time so people working can see you through the windows and it was so noisy. During the night, it was so warm but too noisy to open the windows. Twin beds put together was ridiculous for a couple sleeping together because the beds seprate in between.
Great staff, great breakfast, good location. The renovation of the outside of the Building
Bad internet connection and the cleaning the stairway. Inside renovation of stairway and hallways are needed.
Nice location easy public transport to mitte or zoo - okey breakfast. You get what you pay for!
Poor to none service. Run down room, bad beds, brooken curtains, incredible leaky windows, no a/c. 2 out of 4 wall plugs didn't work. So If you'r into luxury and a/c dont settle for less and paid the additional money and find a better hotel/pension
I liked that you had to go through two locked doors to get into the rooms. The desk staff let us use their phone to call friends in the city because our US cell phones obviously didn't work there. Our luggage was lost by the airline and the employees were great about updating us wuth messages or arruvals pertaining to luggage. The building was fairly quiet.
The phone in our room didn't work at all which made it difficult to make plans with our friends. The Internet connections were terrible. The rooms could have been cleaner.
Staff was rude. Made rude comments when I said I didn't want four euro breakfast. Then when I asked him about the airport shuttle service listed on their booking.com page he made more rude comments. Turns out there is no airport shuttle, which was the main reason I booked the hotel.
I like sleeping in hotels with soul like this. Building has history and this is advantages. You can really fell that you are in Berlin. I don't like modern hotels, which can be placed wherever on world. Breakfast is good and varied. I park my car near hotel for free. Also market, S and U bahn is near. Good place to discover Berlin. Staff really nice and told us all important things about city.
good location, good breakfast, large room, clean, parking next to the hotel for free, no significant trouble during our stay
old buiding with old equipment & furniture
Hotel has own spirit. You can feel the history. U-Bahn and S-Bahn is near, so city traveling is very easy.
very good location by s-bahn and u-bahn. good price, polite staff
Large rooms with high ceilings. Good breakfast overall.close to s-bahn station,so easy to commute anywhere
Breakfast could have been varied with adding different fruits, and fresh pastries would have been nice.fresh bread was good though, plus the fact there was eggs too,so something bit more substantial
Hotel is cheap and very good. It is easy to reach it from Tegel airport and from the main train station. There are a lot of shops and restarants in closest area.
It was quite cold in the room, because of the door to the balcony. Double bed was made from two single beds.
Location, room size, noise levels were low which is good.didn't get up for breakfast so can't comment on that.good value for money though
Internet reception was poor, the double bed was 2 single beds pushed together
Break fast, big room. easy public transportation, shops, food courts
poor and worst wi-fi connectivity. No king size bed. Lazy guy@reception-I think he is not interested and he don't want to do that job. Don't expect any information from him. Overall it's better to book a youth hostel than this hotel.
Terrible wi fi
The lack of hot water The heating on full that couldn't be changed, thus having to keep window open in a city, and therefore not sleeping The bites Rubble and debris on the balcony The scaffold outside the front catching the parts of the building that are falling off The blasé, "not my problem", staff
Comfortable hotel with pleasant staff, nice breakfast. Excellent location, handy for U-Bahn, S-Bahn and buses, plenty of restaurants nearby.
Not enough lighting in the bedroom, ceiling very high so it meant I could not read in bed. Back staircase area of hotel was a bit run down.
Quite friendly staff. The hotel itself is a pre-war house with beautiful original design. The rooms are big.
This is not a 3 star hotel as it is said. A maximum of 2 stars can be applied - the rooms need serious renovation: walls, windows... The breakfast buffet is not quite rich, everyday the same.
