City Hotel Essen    

A simply hotel with frindly attitude and staff.

Own car park convenient. Handy to the U-bahn. Room excellent. Bathroom very modern, clean and lovely big shower. Huge TV. Minibar. Very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff.

Have stayed here many times and always very satisfied. Large clean rooms with modern spotless bathrooms. Large TV. Sometimes mini-bar. Private car park is very convenient and makes visiting by car very easy. Hotel right next to underground station so city centre reached in a few minutes. Breakfast simple but filling and usually with three cooked items (scrambled eggs are very good).

I often stay at this hotel because of the excellent location and value for money. Most of all though because the staff are the most helpful, kind and obliging group of people I have met. The large, clean and comfortable rooms are quiet with modern bathrooms. I have not one negative thing to comment on. My favourite hotel.

I liked the fact that it has a direct link to the underground and we get a travel card for our stay with the booking.

Some staff were smoking by the Restaurent entrance and it was full of smoke in the morning.

Position of the hotel is excellent, near the city centre and with a good german restaurant just 3 minutes walk away - you can ask the receptionist. Also the parking in front of hotel lobby was very comfortable. Breakfast was ok and the staff was helpful and friendly. Wi-fi connection did not work at all on the first day but it did on the second so maybe it was just a case that I could not use this service on the arrival.

The pictures of the room looked much better than the actual rooms. But if you go on business for a couple of days, I would recommend it.

The location is excellent for the city centre with good private parking. Nice large room.

Upon arrival the room had not been cleaned, however very soon after mentioning it it was done but clearly in a rushed manner! No towels or shower gel, and the previous occupants empty beer glasses and bottles left outside all throughout my stay. That said, the staff were apologetic and it was no big deal.

Friendly helpfull staff, the room was a good size with ample cupboard space.

No air conditioning, we found it was very hot and if we opened the window the traffic noise kept us awake. Two student bars just across the road were also very loud,untill 6.30 am on one occasion! A kettle in the room would also have been very welcome.

Convenient on-site parking. Close to underground station. Clean spacious room and very nice bathroom. Have stayed there several times and never had a bad visit there.

This hotel is in a good location - close to the city centre and shops. The free transport pass makes travel to other areas of the city and region hassle free and economical. The breakfast is good and set me up for he day.

The size of the room, the free mini bar and the quality of the breakfast. The quiet location of the hotel and its handyness to the city.

The slowness of the lift and there are no stairs to use instead of the slow lift.

The staff were very helpful

This is the first time I had to pay to watch English television and the price for 3 days viewing was very expensive just for news channels. A fiom channel would have been nice. No restuarant to eat in the evening - as a single lady traveller I didn't want to go out on my own for an evening meal.

Wij hadden een hele ruime drie persoons kamer en was keurig schoon Was 5 min lopen naar het centrum

Großes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, sehr freundliche Rezeption, kostenlose Getränke und die Hotelcard für Bus und Bahn.

Sehr weiche Matratzen und schmale Betten. Im Bad fehlen Hacken für die Handtücher und ein Hocker wäre angebracht.

Het hotel ligt tegen het centrum aan en beschikt over een eigen parkeerplaats.
