I am currently in a dispute with the Hotel for a couple of reasons: I came to Berlin to work, relying on their advertizement that Internet is available throughout the rooms. The lack of reliable Internet started a huge debate between me and the hotel staff and management, since Internet was availble only to the extent to make a claim that there is an Internet connection, but the speed was so slow that one cannot open a page for 2 min and one was dropped from the Internet regularly. So, no Skype conversation possible, even not sending an email without a problem. In the process, the staff tried to full me that their devices are working while mine is not, when they knew from previous customers that they had a problem.The slow speed in the room made quite a difference from the relatively available speed in the dining area. The management refused to return the money which i have paid for 6 nights, although I told them I came for work to Berlin, and they cannot provide the basic thing for my work, i.e. the Internet. They offered me some scham solutions such as changing the rooms. Also, the hotel says there is someone by 6 pm at the reception. On a day when I needed someone to take a phone call for me, the receptionist had left earlier than 5.30 pm. The hotel staff was very unpleasant. And as you may imagine, I have launched an official complaint with Bookings. The service of this hotel and the arguments with me as a customer, are unacceptable for the standards of Bookings. I have been traveling a lot in many locations in Europe and the US, and have never had such a bad experience, basically since the end of communism.
