These modern apartments are just a few steps from Berlin’s famous Checkpoint Charlie and Kochstrasse U-Bahn (subway) Station. Most feature a balcony or terrace and a well-equipped kitchen.

Unfortunately, not even one thing about this hotel was positive.
The room was tiny and stuffy, with 2 steps between it & the bathroom, which caused us to trip constantly, especially at night. Far from train station. Breakfast was meager and served only after 8 AM. Also, after 6 PM you can't find any staff, and you have to enter through a side entrance. the neighborhood was also rather unpleasant.
indipendence: you have your keys of main doors
internet so slow to be unuseful
The wifi connection in my hotel room did not work. The signal was too weak. This issue was not solved during my stay despite my queries about this to the hotel staff. I booked rather late and paid 90 Euro for the room per night. This is not in line with the quality of the room and very basic facilities.
The hotel was clean and quiet, friendly staff, good location close to Bergmannstraße.
It was located near the area I wanted to stay. Other than that the shower was powerful. I didn't spend much time in the room as it was very basic.
For €125 per room it was very basic and heavily worn. I would rate it as two star and would say €80 per room is a fair price. The carpet was threadbare and the beds narrow and low.
The arrangement of the keys after closing time was good arranged!
There was a low wifi signal from the room. If you would like to have a good signal, you have to stay at the entrance or at the front outside the Hotel.
Very comfortable, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of fresh air in the room with good number of windows.
Internet connection was very poor and intermittent.
It was great that breakfast was included and they have plenty of option for it in a self-served basis. Comfortable and easy.
Close to the attractive Bergmannkiez area of Kreuzberg, and also to the Landeswehrkanal, which is nice for walking along on summer evenings.
Breakfast starts at 8 at most days, but I'm an early riser.
Staff lacking hospitality skills
The room was always clean and the staff was helpful.
The Wi-Fi reception was only strong in the reception/breakfast room.
The good welcoming and the availability of the owner, as well as the reception man. The possibility to let my luggage a few hours after checking out. Kreuzberg district is nice, full of little cafes where to stop, like the A-Horn at 300m from there where the tasty frühstück is to prefer absolutely to the one of the hotel.
3rd floor without lift. wifi doesn't work. the wall are so thin I could follow the conversations of the neighbors. One lonely plug (except the one unreachable because of the wardrobe) for the phone charger, but in the bathroom. Brickwork and painting of the room and bathroom seem not to be finished. the toilet seat, straitened between the wall and the shower cabin, is not set proparly and makes unsteady. Very expansive room for this level of comfort.
Friendly staff, free breakfast, great location in the heart of Kreuzberg.
The wifi connection didn't work well in all of the rooms. The bathroom wasn't really cleaned during our 5 day stay.
The only good we could say was that the place was clean with plenty of hot water.
Not been told before we visited that we would be in an annex 2 doors from the hotel, having to climb 66 steps to our room and the reception area closed at 6PM. We arrived at 7PM to be handed a key from a key safe attached to the front wall of the hotel. This is the worst "hotel" I have stayed in. Grade 0.
The location was perfect for us. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly. It was fairly easy to get around to the centre of town from there. It was comfortable and we felt like we were amongst Berliners rather than in the tourist area. The staff's English wasn't brilliant, but we really liked that as it felt more authentic - they are German after all - why should they speak good English!
The decor needs updating, but it was clean. I wouldn't stay here as a female by myself as there is a walk from the U-Bahn which is a little dark, and there are no staff in the hotel overnight.
Very good location for our needs. Good bus service to Hermanplatz U Bahn. Easy walking distance to some attractions. Lots on little cafes in streets leading to the canal.
Locals need to remove their own litter, when eating and drinking in public areas.
Easy to get the city center.
Wifi was not available in my room, only at reception area, which is closed at 19:00.
We had a nice stay in Gotland Hotel! The room with a double bed was really spacious with a balcony. Good location to reach bus stops and subway
the breakfast was very nice, plenty of options and all very tasty. very clean room. even thougth the double bed was two single beds pushed together, they were very confortable.
tea and coffee facilities meant a kettle and a couple of cups after inquiring the staff.
all good, as always
