Very good location, clean, warm, politeness, very ready to help (waiting for my arrival long after their check-in time), calm, safety and comfort to go in and out (the street door is keeping locked after 20 o'clock, but every guest has the key from the street door), the staff speaks Russian (my native language) and many other languages. Breakfast reasonably good and plenty of it. A good cafe in the same building. So, excellent value-for-money choice. As a bonus - charming design of the outer door and of the staircase, in an old-Berlin XIX style. 1. It might be helpful to mention in the hotel description (on Booking.com site) that this hotel is a neat family enterprise, which usually is closed in the evening and does not have a touristically oriented information desk. :) - so the guests should not expect a full range of actual city information just on the spot. 2. Of course climbing the staircase without the lift is far from pleasure, but all the "pro" mean more than this little "contra". |

I liked location of the Hotel very much, because everything was near : stations, restaurants, department stores, zoo, chrismas market. My room was very cool. |

Great hotel, fantastically located just opposite an underground station and a few meters from the Kadewe. Excellent value for money! There's no elevator and the hotel is located at the second floor of an old house, so dragging a heavy suitcase up and down the stairs when arriving and leaving was a bit annoying. Friendly staff though with very limited English. |

I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. In my experience staying in Berlin it's the best value for money you will find for something centrally located. It's a beautiful building, very nice staff, clean and modern rooms, quiet at night, great location near to the underground and to shops. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The only thing to note for older people or mobility impaired people is that you do have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the hotel. |

Proximity to transport and restaurants. Very good breakfasts. Helpful staff.. The was a loud humming sound which appeared to be a water pump. This started up as soon as anyone in the adjoinging rooms used the shower or bathroom and it woke me up every morning around 07.00 or earlier. As I was on holiday and looking forward to sleeping for longer, I wasn't impressed. |

Comfortable and convenient. Located in the heart of the shopping district and close to the S-Bahn. No staff available early or late so if you need to check in or out at an hour not during the normal work day you will have problems. |

A nice place in a good location. Friendly staff, quiet rooms, perfectly decent breakfast. I'd certainly go back next time I'm in Berlin. |

An excellent location for visiting everything in Berlin. Right next to the U Bahn in the centre of the city Nothing really to dislike, just be aware of the limitations in services if you've never stayed at a pension hotel before. If you like dining out and don't generally spend much time in the hotel, you won't miss a thing and the location is excellent. |

Great location relative to the underground. A grocery store was right below the pension. A market was setup outside. Lots of restaurants nearby and a great one about 15 minutes walk away. Peaceful location so good for sleeping off the previous night. There was no prominent sign indicating location of pension. We came out of the metro station and wandered the square for 15 minutes trying to find the place, but the only sign was a dark banner above the single door, which cannot be seen at night. |

Excellent location in regards to public transportation (U-Bahn, buses). Bahnhof Zoo near. KaDeWe next door. Kurfürstendamm near. Spacious room. In the heart of old "West Berlin". 2nd floor, no lift. Tough if you have lots of luggage. Problematic parking if you have a car. Not very easy to find. No safety locker in room. |

Central Location Excellent, Transport links excellent, Comfortable beds, Generous sized room, Breakfast nice but no English Breakfast Tea so bring your own tea bags if you like to have a cuppa with breakfast. Market was right on doorstep - brilliant. Communal staircase was grotty and cobwebs on ceiling. Some of the staff were a little stern and did not make the effort to communicate with guests. |
