+ The staff is really good + Is really well comunicated with the public transportation system
noise from traffic at night
Comfortable rooms, fairly cheap prices.
Breakfast buffet - rich offer Free WiFi availability Free parking space availabilty Cleanliness Friendly staff Location - subway (U-bahn), bus stop few steps away
Noise from the nearby junction Smoke (2nd floor) from the "next window" flats (although the hotel is marked as non smoking area) Smoke (2nd floor) from the bar in front of the lobby
Extremely friendly staff above all else. Decent housing, the location near the C Club and Columbia Hall (we went to the concert). Special thanks to the wonderful Silvana.
The proximity to the station. The staff are receptive if you make an attempt to speak their language. Some people said they were rude. I didn't find that. They were very polite. Yes, they can speak English, but if you can speak German, speak to them in German. The breakfast was excellent. Also Tempelhof airfield/park is just across the street. That place is awesome.
I wish the room could have been cooler. It was very very hot. There was no fan in there. That would have made the stay a little bit more pleasant.
For the price, the hotel is what I expected. The room was clean but small and free breakfast was included with my stay. Breakfast was good, which made my stay. The hotel staff was friendly and I felt safe at this hotel. The location is close to the U, but not close to any major attractions. For the price, you'll get a clean but small room, similar to a dorm room.
The hotel did not have A/C and was very dark and small. It was a good place to sleep overnight, but not a place I would recommend for a long period of time.
The hotel is just across from Tempelhof Airport (which has tours) and is a few stops from Berlin city centre. It has a good buffet breakfast and good free wifi. Two streets down is a wealth of restaurants for many dinner options. Overall, excellent value.
Situated close to a U-bahn station. Easy to get to the Berlin sights and the city center.
Situated close to a major traffic junction especially at night it was hard to get a good nights sleep or to fall asleep at all. There were ambulances or fire-engines passing the junction several times every hour of the night and when driving through they always put their sirens on. This happened every night! (We stayed for 4 nights.) The hotel was built at a 90 degree angle to an adjoining block of flats. For us this meant that our bedroom window was just 2 meters away from the nearest flat´s balcony. The people living there used it as their smoking area. With Berlin having a heat-wave at the time, we just had to have the windom open a bit. Result: smoke in our room. And the smokers liked to sit talking and smoking at least until 01.30 a.m. - 2 meters from our window ! Our room was on the 2nd floor and on the ground floor of the adjoining building, there was a Brazilian bar in which (and also outside of course) there was partying going on until at least 2.30 a.m. Singing, dancing and SHOUTING all the time through evening and night 3 of our 4 nights at the hotel. We wished we had choosen a more quiet hotel !
Internet is fast. The bed was good. The staff in the restaurant at breakfast nice and friendly.
The hotel is a bit tired and the corridors are dark and smelly. We were first given a single room although we'd asked for a double room.
Behind the building there is a free car park for the guests. Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast is the common continental one. Location is always a relative question. For us it was the closest place to stay, and it is close to bars, restaurants, shops, and to different kind of transports. If you would like to be close to the city center, this is definitely not your place despite of the good subway connection.
A basic hotel with a little bit outdated design and furnishing. The place really needs a renovation, especially the windows. All rooms looking to a busy crossing. When you book, it is clear and obvious. But not obvious, if you close the windows, the noise won’t be decreased in your room and the same time the room starts to get muggy. So it hardly decreases the comfort. We had 2 rooms, one on the 4th and one on the 5th floor. On the top floor there was no hot water in the shower, while there was no problem on the lower floor. For the same or cheaper price, you can find better hotels in the center as well.
Easy access to U Bahn station, right across the street. Continental breakfast offered a wide selection.
Close to a busy intersection which was fairly noisy. Double glassing helped.
Nice and freiendly staff, very good breakfast, good location, close to U-Bahn, good wireless, parking lot secured.
Small room, very hot inside (no airconditioning), very noisy because of the road nearby and mostly because of the Brasilian restaurant in front where every night till was loud music and loud people.
The tube station is just across the road, which was great. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The proximity from the downtown. We could walk to the centre. It took half an hour.
We could hear the traffic noise. It was rather annoying.
The room´s decorration was very old.
Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast from 0600 which was a big help as i was travelling early the next day. Not the most variety i've had at a breakfast but it was okay, lovely fresh coffee served with a jug of warm milk. Very nice room with everything one would need but perhaps a bit noisy as the hotel is near a very busy crossroads. The plus side to that is that public transport links are superb and concert venue Columbia Halle is less than a 10 minute walk away.
Very good location to C-club(we went for a concert there). Nice staff, good breakfest.
Close to metro (U bhan) Good breakfast
little bit expensive. No replacement of used shampo
The location - particularly if you're going to a concert at the Columbia Hall.
The car park wasn't obvious but after a call to the reception desk, I was able to find it.
Right across the street from the underground stop and a short walk from Columbiahalle (where we were attending a concert). Clean, good breakfast, very nice staff available 24/7. Tea/coffee facilities included.
The beds were a little too soft and the noise from the street was really annoying during the night.
Breakfast is with quite some choices.
Bathroom facility was quite old. One of the head lamps over the bed didn't work. Close to a major intersection and quite noisy at night with the traffic.
the hotel is located in front of the u bahn station so you can get anywhere in several minutes
the hotel is located on a street with a lot of traffic, u better have ear plugs...
Location, great staff, excellent breakfast. It's a great value for the price in the great city of Berlin.
Although recently renovated, it's still dated (an old building w/small rooms).
fantastic location, good service,
in full summer the lack of protection against light and sun could be a problem for some rooms......
