Hotel-Pension Cortina  

Very good location, short walk to one of Berlin's main international rail stations the Zoo Bahnhoff and not far from Tegel Airport, so a cab ride is not expensive nor long. The hotel is in Charlottenburg and within short walking distance of many of central Berlin's landmarks and there are two u bahn stations just around the corner. The hotel pensione is in an old apartment building where two levels are taken up by this establishment. The rooms are old but ok, with a certain prewar character and charm. First class, fast wi fi in the rooms. Breakfast included in a very reasonable price.

Toilet is shared, just one per floor, though there is a shower and a sink in the room. This is not a 24-hotel hence to check in you must arrive during business hours.

It was close to all attractions, easy to find and included car parking. Breakfasts was good and clean rooms for the price for a Berlin location.

The room was big and spacious, the heat worked perfectly (I stayed in January), Breakfast was amazing!!! Varied, generous, great rolls. Thank you. The hotel is around the corner frrom Savignyplazt train station, and walking distance from Kufurstedamm shopping street. Very convenient.

One staff member did not speak english so it was hard to explain I needed a place nearby to do my laundry (simple and usual guest question), there's no staff as of 10 pm to till 6 or 7 so you are on your own. Still I recomend it.

Hotel Pension Cortina provides a nice room at a very low price. The neighborhood is right on the s bahn train route and a short walk to the hotel. The hotel is situated on street which is lined with storefronts, boutiques and eateries from around the world. Safe surroundings in a west Berlin neighborhood.

Location was brilliant! Staff was proffesionals, I liked a lot.

My wife & I have been staying regularly at Cortina since 1998. We return several times a year, every year, because of its location, price, cleanliness & kindness of staff. The television service provided is better than many '5 star' establishments.

The breakfast menu has deteriorated somewhat over the years. A breakfast menu must include some hot food (E.G. boiled sausage). Coffee needs to be freshly brewed, more often. Tomatoes, at least, should be provided.

Large-sized room (after I had changed) and generous breakfast included in price.

Make sure you get a room in the front section - not tucked downstairs at the back of the courtyard. Some rooms are very small - ask to change if necessary (I did). This location is no longer cutting-edge Berlin - but walkable to the Deutsche opera. The room price shoots up on the weekend, making this less of a bargain at that time.

This hotel has a perfect location and it's convenient to get to all the main tourists attractions from there. The breakfast (included in the price) was rather good. The personal speak German and Russian.

that district is for shopping and quiet living, few people on the streets after 8 p.m. (for any fun you have to go to the other district - Oranienstr. and around in Kreuzberg).

The location is good, not too far from the Zoo station, and near Savigny Platz

Rooms without WC can mean a long corridor walk. Room 21 is more like a prison cell than a hotel room- avoid it if possible.

Breakfast was quite good. Room was clean. Shower brand new. Location very good. CLose to the Zoologischergarten Central Station. Also close to Savigny Platz S-Bahn Satation. Shared toilette was clean all the time, despite some high school-gangs coming over to visit Berlin. :-) And despite all the comments, the thin blonde lady responsible for the breakfast room smiles. And even the lady at the reception smiled once when I left the keys! :-) Yes the orhers are a little bit cold maybe. But they are Russian.

Room doors could be replaced with electronic key doors some time in the future. ANd just one soap in the room as a courtesy would be nice of them.

J'ai apprécié le côté simple de tout: chambre élémentaire, petit déjeuner bien calculé. La possibilité de parking est un atout réel dans une rue aussi animée.

J'ai été un peu ennuyée par l'absence de table de nuit et de crochet pour les serviettes de bain, mais ce n'était pas vital

Il personale dell'hotel è scortese e non parla assolutamente inglese. Stanza singola molto piccola.
