Room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast wasn't great. Staff was mostly unfriendly. Room didn't look anything like the photos. Mattress was terrible. It's cheap & the area around Savigny Platz is nice but don't expect any comfort.

The location close to the Savigny Place is excellent - lot's of good restaurants in the neighberhood and 3 minutes walk to the S-Bahn. The staff is unfriendly. The receptionist wanted to have a surcharge of 2.5% when paying by credit card, which we not accepted.

Hotel Pension Cortina provides a nice room at a very low price. The neighborhood is right on the s bahn train route and a short walk to the hotel. The hotel is situated on street which is lined with storefronts, boutiques and eateries from around the world. Safe surroundings in a west Berlin neighborhood.

Very good location, short walk to one of Berlin's main international rail stations the Zoo Bahnhoff and not far from Tegel Airport, so a cab ride is not expensive nor long. The hotel is in Charlottenburg and within short walking distance of many of central Berlin's landmarks and there are two u bahn stations just around the corner. The hotel pensione is in an old apartment building where two levels are taken up by this establishment. The rooms are old but ok, with a certain prewar character and charm. First class, fast wi fi in the rooms. Breakfast included in a very reasonable price. Toilet is shared, just one per floor, though there is a shower and a sink in the room. This is not a 24-hotel hence to check in you must arrive during business hours.

The location is good, not too far from the Zoo station, and near Savigny Platz Rooms without WC can mean a long corridor walk. Room 21 is more like a prison cell than a hotel room- avoid it if possible.

The room was big and spacious, the heat worked perfectly (I stayed in January), Breakfast was amazing!!! Varied, generous, great rolls. Thank you. The hotel is around the corner frrom Savignyplazt train station, and walking distance from Kufurstedamm shopping street. Very convenient. One staff member did not speak english so it was hard to explain I needed a place nearby to do my laundry (simple and usual guest question), there's no staff as of 10 pm to till 6 or 7 so you are on your own. Still I recomend it.

It's good hotel for small price. Room for 2 persons was very big! Tv had big range of channels. It was good surprise for us to meet russian staff there. But the best of this hotel is location. Short walk or short trip by train to the centre and main sightseengs. Underground station is very close.

The Hotel-Pension Cortina has somewhat Russia style of construction. The room is large. Nearby is a supermarket that is convinient for shoping. The sofa in the room is rather dirty.

Location is great. 5 mins walking distance to S-bohn "Savignplatz". And very close to Ku'damm. The room is not cold at all. Breakfast is ok. I ordered double room but they gave me twin-bed room. It is not possible to combine the beds because of its design. The breakfast room is small and a little crowded. The staff are not English fluent speakers, you have to be patient. Hair dryer is requested.

The location was good. My hotel room (11) was 5metre from the reception desk, and I could hear the loud phone conversations of the woman on desk from early.

My wife & I have been staying regularly at Cortina since 1998. We return several times a year, every year, because of its location, price, cleanliness & kindness of staff. The television service provided is better than many '5 star' establishments. The breakfast menu has deteriorated somewhat over the years. A breakfast menu must include some hot food (E.G. boiled sausage). Coffee needs to be freshly brewed, more often. Tomatoes, at least, should be provided.

Large-sized room (after I had changed) and generous breakfast included in price. Make sure you get a room in the front section - not tucked downstairs at the back of the courtyard. Some rooms are very small - ask to change if necessary (I did). This location is no longer cutting-edge Berlin - but walkable to the Deutsche opera. The room price shoots up on the weekend, making this less of a bargain at that time.
