Superb quiet location, friendly and helpful reception, easy access to public transport, functional WiFi, great breakfast (though pay extra). Found a cyber cafe nearby to print a page that i needed for my travel.
i was late to leave the room by 10 minutes.... one of the staff was knocking hard at the door while i go my bag ready.... she stood by the do in the room to "oversee" me leave the room!! (I guess she had a "bad day"..... the other staff well very friendly and helpful!! 2) reception is not 24hr/24hr
Smell on the floor (Nonesmoking hotel that smells like a smoking lounge... Carpets should really be exchanged)
Great value, rooms are clean and comfortable. Shower was clean, water was hot.
One toilet shared by a few too many people.
staff did not speak english at all - room booked via an international site, very small rooms, stayed for 5 days and they did not change sheets/towels
S-bahn station just round the corner, great surroundings with a lot of small and nice cafes. 10 minutes walk from Kurfürstendamm, 15 minutes walk from Deutsche Oper. Nice, quiet room.
The shower in the room and the shared toilet. Though this was in the room description, it is a rarely to be seen in the hotels that aspire to two stars. Also you should be aware that you have to climb a lot of steep stairs.
Very good location. Very clean.
No elevator. Staff barely spoke English.
Good location with many local facilities.
Difficult to communicate with staff on most issues, help, directions etc. Some rooms very noisy due to traffic - fronts a main road
Location near s-bahn station.
We booked a room with private toilet, and at the arrival got the one with shared toilet on the floor. The receptionist told as "the toilet in the room was broken", however it was totally not there. They just cashed our money and gave us worse room. And the receptionist was so anxious, that we didn't forget to bring back the keys: she had written the note, that "to take the keys away from the room is strictly prohibited". Totally poor staff who wants only to cheat you. Had never seen so poor in Berlin. Not recommended at all.
Impolite personnel. Language problems – personnel doesn’t want to speak in other than German language. Receptionist doesn’t able to provide any additional local information – public transport, car park etc. Equipment of the rooms is very poor. The sofa was offer for sleeping purpose of adult person! Some important information was not mention in booking instruction – deposit 50 Euros for parking card. Big problem finds park place even with parking card. Our experience was very bad. Don't recommend!
Quite area, with plenty of restaurants, close to S-Bahn station to move everywhere.
No elevator; only one person of the three shifting staff I met speaks english.
Hotel Location. Value for money
Staff was not cooperative. we have asked for glass of water after check-out which was refused and staff on duty has made all effort to make sure we leave. Not good service at all.
Good location to train, fair ground. Restaurants around. Very quiet with room facing to backyard
The hotel is distributed over several houses, stairwells. To reach reception climb up 2 stairs with your luggage. I am German, but for the foreigners: staff does not speak any English, I had to translate several times
location and price
This hotel had the most arrogant staff i ever met in my life, It was smelling awful in the entrance stairs. On the day of my check in when i was in the room I head a police van coming and seems 6 fully armed police guys came, well what had happened is there was a guest booked in the hotel attending the ITB who had paid upfront 3 weeks in advance and the hotel was overbooked and could not give him room, instead of assisting him they called the police to throw him out, on understanding the situation 4 of the 6 police staff left leaving 2 helpless behind since the person who had paid the money wanted the police to find a solution which they could not well finally the guest managed himself to find an alternate accommodation, so be careful, in case the hotel is overbooked you might find the police either throwing you out or you may get free accommodation in the jail. For me on the second day or so the room heating was not working and the hotel had left my window open in the day, well you don’t check the window daily and since it was behind the curtain you don’t notice, it started getting cold and when i went to check the heating found it was not working and cold air was blowing in from the window, even though the window was closed the room was dead cold by then I had already fell ill since I was exposed to this cold weather, well at this point wanted to talk to a hotel staff and could not find any (pls remember this was past midnight) and i had to put a mail to booking.com to help, well there was no word of sorry from the hotel the only person to respond was booking.com, well god forbid if anything was to happen to me i would have had people at my funeral now. Well even for check out I had to write to booking.
Good location. Near the metro. There is a shop near the hotel.
It's quite old.
Location is perfect!
Service of the staff is very, very poor. On the last day there was no warm water! There was no understanding from the staff. Apperently this happend more often. Toilet is in the hall and needs to be shared with other rooms.
Within a few minutes of a Savignyplatz S Bahn station, as in previous visits, a quiet night was had.
Open 24/7 gor check in. Rooms abd communal areas were kep immaculate.
Showers in rooms too high. Posed a danger of slipping when getting out.
The hotel was clean near by everything specially shooping supermarket and bus stop the breakfast was very good all in all worth the money
A little bit noisy as the whole house is made of wood and every step make noise. The staff didnt speak english but very helpful
One of the staff was not nice.
Good location: public transportation, restaurants, shopping at KuDam. Nice breakfast. Small room but kept clean and warm. Good price, though out of season.
helpful but indifferent staff. great heating and hot water supply
draft in the rooms.
Terrible rooms, shower right stands in a room, old furniture, I think it is a greedy owner. I broke the key in the door (old castle) and paid 20 euros. This hotel is not for Germany!!!
