The hotel is a pretty normal mid/high level business one, with all the facilities you'd normally expect, and generally high standards. It's nice and quiet due to its isolated location (when there's no sport on), and if you have a car, it's quite convenient. Breakfast and restaurant selection is good, but not cheap. Staff are friendly and efficient. Its location at the Veltins-Arena makes it a good choice for sports events. The hotel is quite remote from Gelsenkirchen city centre, and is in a major sports venue about 10 minutes taxi drive from town. There is a tram (No. 302) that runs from the main station U-bahn area to the arena in about 15 mins, and then it's a five minute walk from the tram stop to the hotel front door. It's easy enough, but you need to research it in advance. Breakfast is expensive, although a good standard. WiFi is charged at around €12.50/day. Minibar isn't stocked, and the guest uses a 'help yourself' small walk-in room in the lobby, which is then charged to the room.

Im Prinzip alles, allerdings sind die Preise sehr stark schwankend. Vor allem wenn ein Bundesligaspiel ansteht, sind die Preise dann deutlich überzogen.

Ambiente Zimmereinrichtung Frühstück zwar gut, aber teuer. Zusatzkosten wie Vanillesirup im Latte Macchiato müssen bei diesem Preis inklusive sein. Sehr unfreundliches und überfordertes Personal an der Rezeption Unfreundliches und unprofessionelles Personal beim Frühstück (man sollte nicht mit einem Kollegen über einen Gast "ablästern", wenn andere Gäste (Familienangehörige des betroffenen Gastes) in der Nähe sind! Der Kunde ist König steht hier zumindest an Fußballtagen nicht im Vordergrund, vielmehr wird man größtenteils abwertend behandelt (weil man "nur" ein Fußballfan ist?!) Traurig ist auch, dass man an Fußballtagen regulär mehr für ein und das selbe Zimmer zahlt, als an sonstigen Tagen!

Ein modernes Hotel mit guter Ausstattung! Es sind genügend (auch kostenfreie ) Parkplätze vorhanden ! Gut erreichbar sind die "Veltins-Arena " und die " Emscher /Lippe-Halle ", die sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des Hotels befinden! Es wird ein gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüffet angeboten. Doch den Preis von 17,00 Euro p.Pers. halte ich ich doch für etwas überzogen.

Wir sind schon das dritte Mal hier. Wie immer ein sehr schönes Hotel. Das Frühstück ist zwar nicht direkt preiswert aber qualitativ sehr gut. Das Hotel ist sehr schön, ruhig und sauber. Komme bestimmt bald wieder.
