Barcelo Cologne City Center    

Perfect location. Very close to shopping areas, to the cathedral and to the fairground Koelnmesse. The tram station is very close, as well. There are many good restaurant nearby.

The staff in the front desk does not seem to be willing to answer the calls.

The location is excellent near To everything and at same Time Time quiet area! The Stuff is very frendly especial thanks for Lourine absolutely lovely person, so helpfully , definitely will stay again!

Excellent location, large room, very friendly staff

Great location with Rudolphplatz U-Bahn just across the road. Perfect price/quality. Big room and wifi worked very well this thime because we were sleeping in the first room in the hallway.

Not very modern

The rooms are huge, extremely well isolated from any noise. The staff is so careful, accurate and friendly

The spa needs a full refit

Large comfortable room(two double beds). Excellent free secure WiFi reception but needs additional password for adult sites. Room cleaned daily. All facilities including safe, desk, iron, hair dryer, kettle etc.

Bathroom basin tap head loose. Room temperature not controllable, a little cool at times. (Cold April)

Reception staff excellent, friendly, helpful and efficient. Able to book in early and to leave luggage on departure day. View from room of the Dom is excellent.Proximity to ex. transport links meant all journeys easily managed. Mini bar prices uniform but very reasonable. Hotel food highly rated and local cafes and bakeries all offer quality.

Bedboards of adjoining room with children occasionally evident. Cleaning staff entered with little time to react to knock, no embarrassment but romantic moments could be interesting!!!! Breakfast I believe is outstandingly good but 20 euros each is prohibitive. Tea and coffee sachets replacements not generous but more could be requested.

An almost perfect budget-friendly hotel close to everything central in Germany's fourth city. Great value for money, an a welcome European touch of Spanish origin.

We liked how inexpensive the hotel was and how close it was right in the middle of everything. Also, there was a parking garage under the hotel, which was convenient.

We didn't like how out of date everything in the hotel was. It looked like it was from the 80's. They need to upgrade everything. The bed in our room was hard, like a rock. It wasn't very comfortable, but it was manageable. The parking garage could be used by people who weren't staying at the hotel and people who were, were paying the same price as others. I think they should give the people who are staying at the hotel a deal on parking.

Eventhough the beds and pillows were very comfortable, the air in the room was very dry and stuffy, resulting in a very bad night's sleep. I tried to turn the a/c off but this didn't help. The window opens up only a little but (which I discovered the day we left the room). The hotel decor is very out of date and could do with a major renovation.

Good value, comfortable with a great location for shopping.

Staff was friendly, gave us a better room with one queen size bed instead of originally two-double beds. Room was spacious with a separate storage room and wardrobe. The location is excellent and close to all sorts of bars and restaurants.

Parking for hotel guests is neither free nor reduced. Had to pay an expensive fee of 16€ per day on top for parking. A special rate for guests of the hotel would be highly appreciated and should be standard for a 4-Star hotel. The room on the 8th floor was very warm, had to constantly keep the window open. Mattresses were hard and pillows very thin, had to order additional pillows.

Central locations

Old design rooms. I had to leave room 2 days early than planned because of illlness. I came to reception around 11 o'clok and they said they have to take rest 2 days money because booking was made by booking.com. I called booking.com call center and they called the hotel . hotel said them they will get 1 day extra money days from me!! I was disappointed from this behaviour. I stayed on this hotel a lot of times!! I will try to find new hotel in Köln for next time

Unable to defer one hotel Booking until later in innthe year, as unexpected illness in family had stopped one couple from attending, within our group. Understood 'no money' back policy, but absolutely no negotiating on deferring the payment with the hotel or the agent. It was upsetting losing £331 for 3 nights. Doubt if insurance will pay out, as hotel booked in my name and in my card. Couple concerned have had to pay me back, even though they did not go. Very unyielding. Bad taste in mouth after experience.

Awesome location, rooms were very comfortable. Staff friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed stay.

The breakfast was not included, and the from desk told that the best way to get breakfast included is by the hotel web site.

The gym, was very poor

Do not stay at this hotel. I tried to cancel a month before attending and they would not allow it even with a valid reason. Do not trust this hotel they ripped me off.Very poor customer service and only after taking money off people. Stay somewhere else if u can.
