In short a clean, good furnished, close to city center, well managed hotel with professional staff. Also a short stroll to the Alster for jogging and walking.

Staff in this hotel were absolutely fantastic. Specially reception manager gentleman and breakfast bar manager. If or when we go back to Hamburg we will certainly would love to go back to Crown Plaza Hotel. Food was nice and everything is well priced.

No. 6 bus stop a few minutes walk from the hotel takes us directly into the city. The upgrade to the Club Room from our normal room was a nice gesture as our room was not ready by 1400 hours on the day we checked in.

Price, too expensive for a hotel not located within the city. Noise coming from the New Year's Eve party lasted till 0330 hours on 01/01/2013. Simply unacceptable when people want to rest.

Arrived at hotel prior to check in, but male member of staff kindly let us have our room early. Location fifteen mins walk from main station through pleasant area of St Georg with the Alster lake to your right. Perfect for our needs.

Staff were very helpful and tried to make up for the poor service and food.May stay there again in less crowded times as they were overwhelmed with the number of people staying.

Swimming pool closed for refurbishment. Very crowded dining facilities maybe due to bad weather. Dinner one night was not cooked properly

It's in a great location. Not in the center of the city, but only a 20 minute walk away. Great value for money and the staff was very friendly.

Location is not perfect. It's a bit far from the downtown of Hamburg on foot.

The room was ok, but quite small for a double. Everything was mini, compared to German standards for a 4 stars hotel.

I gave my clothes to the laundry for cleaning and they wanted to charge 41 euros for 1 shirt, 3 t-shirts, and some other underwear. Nothing was ironed and I must say that they weren't washed properly, there were stains on the clothes... I asked 3 times to pay cash and when I checked out they had already taken the payment from my credit card... They charged 35 euro for the car park. When I was parking the car indoor, my car risked to fall through the metal ramp which was badly damaged. The front of the car was damaged and me and my partner were a bit shocked by what happened. I politely asked to the manager to have a look at what happened. Before even seeing what happened he started saying that they do not accept responsibilities then he started accusing me of being responsible for the accident using the most ridiculous motivations with an inappropriate arrogance and rudeness. He filled in a report and after 3 days I was called just to be told that they were not interested in taking any responsibilities. They treated me like I was trying to profit from the accident,when what I was only asking was to repair the damage on the car. I had to report everything to the police. Arrogant and rude behavior, as they knew that I was going back to the uk after 3 days and would not be able to follow the case.

Too small room, with a very small bed, and almost no room to walk around, you could get stuck walking by the bed! Too far away from city center, really far away from the harbor area!

Service / staff were first rate, including reception, restaurant, bar, cleaning. Quick and helpful responses to email queries before arrival. Nice lobby with atrium Breakfast good, lots of choice. Handy location - close to centre, but also to lake: peaceful atmosphere.

The corridors outside the bedrooms were a bit stuffy, smelly. Maybe the carpets need replacing? Pool wasn't available.

Nice rooms, free upgrade to comfort room. Special bargain for the breakfast

I almost did not like anything about this hotel.

The hotel policy is like following you to ask money or charge you in your every step. I felt that they are counting your breath, for exceeding ones charge money. Air conditioning system was too old that our room was like bathroom, we were not able to stay.

good location on the edge of the city centre near to the lake which was very nice for wa;king into the centre of Hamburg.
