Excellent location. Within walking distance of many sites. Helpful staff. Pleasant breakfast room.

Guest rooms were plain and drab. Neighborhood was very noisy some nights.

the location is perfect for those who are visiting the documenta. the breakfast is good and for a fair price. the room is larger than newer hotels.

my room was a little odd. no mini bar, quite large so tv far too far from the bed, and bedside tables were too far from the bed.

The location of the Grand City Hotel made it very convenient to see many sites in the city while being able to rest quickly or change at the hotel during the day. Also, the free wifi is very helpful.

I would have liked the option when booking to choose the smoking or non- smoking floors.

My husband and I attended Documenta in June. This hotel was very conveniently located, within a few blocks of all the major exhibition venues. Our room was spacious and included a living room area, which made it pleasant to relax after a long day on our feet.

Good position, friendly

The room was a very generous size with a great view and balconies to appreciate it from. The reception and bar areas still have beautiful 50's furniture and design - but the secrets not revealed on the website are that the hotel is right next door to the historic Hugeunnotte House, which was the site of 2 of the most interesting works in documenta 13 and that also a large video installation ,also part of documenta 13, was exhibited in the ballroom. As documenta 13 was the reason for our visit to Kasselthis was a real bonus. The staff were great: friendly, humourous, helpful and professional. We loved staying here and would hope to do so again.

After 23:00 just under the windows of the hotel began to gather drunken teenagers. It's more than a hundred drunk people. All night they shouted very loudly, drinking beer and urinating next to parked guests cars in the bushes. Able to sleep until after 6:00.

Dislocation. Russian-speaking personnel.

Parking that just in front of the hotel costs 4eur per day, but there're too many vandals. It's better to leave a car inside the parking (in about 150 meters) and it costs 12eur per day. Night club is placed inside the same building.

Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is zeer goed. Ruime kamers.

zeer vriendelijk personeel gezin met baby kreeg rustige kamer ver van de naastgelegen disco, waar eigenlijk weinig hinder van was die vrijdagavond alles heel proper en zeer ruime kamers er zijn rokerskamers !!! stijl van de inkomhal is van de sixties, heel charmant goede parkeergelegenheid aan de overkant van de straat

de bar was niet open 's avonds, er waren wel automaten maar zeer duur

WLAN ist ausgefallen

Der Still der frühen 60iger Jahre ist ja exemplarisch präsent. Eine Restaurierung, die diese Stilelemente betont wäre dringend notwendig und wünschenswert, dies würde dem Hotel ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal geben, das gibt es ja nicht überall.

Gut gelegenes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal.

Die Einrichtung ist schon etwas älter, auch das Bad könnte mal wieder erneuert werden.

zentrale Lage des Hotel, City mit Einkausmöglichkeiten sehr gut zu Fuß zu erreichen, ansonsten sehr gute Anbindung an das öffentliche Nahverkehrsnetz

veraltete Badeinrichtung schlechte Lüftung des innenliegenden Bades keine Heizung im Bad, auch die Heizung im Zimmer wahr etwas spärlich, da die Außentemperaturen doch etwas frisch waren wurde es im Zimmer auch nicht richtig warm Frühstücksservice war mit dem nachfüllen des Buffetts organisatorisch überfordert, ebenso mit dem herrichten der neuen Frühstückstische bei der Online-Buchung wurde nicht ausreichend ersichtlich daraufhingewiesen, dass es sich bei den Buchungspreis um das Zimmer exklusive Frühstück handelt, der Preis von 12,50 € pro Person stimmt mit dem Preis -Leistungsverhältnis nicht überein
