The room size and location were excellent.
Wifi was dreadful.
Narrow entrance Poor facilities Carring the luggage upstairs. No lift. No fridge. No safety locker. The hotel overall not clean.overrated with no price-quality
Individual style spacious rooms central location, easy walk to the Old Town and close to where the Lufthansa airport shuttle bus from Frankfurt drops off/picks up
the wifi is temperamental! Ask at the reception for the up-to-date password as the one on the information sheet in the room is long past its sell by date... It's a long climb up six flights of stairs to the top floor (no lift) but the rooms at the back are quiet
Large clean rooms. Good sound insulation in windows and between rooms.
Poor wifi connection in room. Expensive breakfast in the café.
I like its great location and the way they treat their guests who have dogs. Absolutely recommended for people with dogs. They have a nice bar/restaurant that is somehow integrated to the hotel building where you can have your breakfast and as well as alcohol drinks.
The strength of Wi-Fi was really weak in my room that it was almost impossible to connecct to the internet.
The location of the hotel is very good for sightseeing in Heidelberg. It's adjacent to Bismarckplatz which is an entrance of the main street of the old town (Hauptstr) and also a bus stop leading to Heidelberg main station. Also, about 5 min walk to Crown Plaza Hotel where the shuttle from Frankfurt airport shuttles stop. The design of the room I stayed was really cool. The cafe on the ground floor in the same building is also cool and you have breakfast there. If I visit Heidelberg again, I will check the availability of this hotel first.
There is not an elevator in this hotel. Absolutely not barrier free. You have to bring up and down your luggage though stairs. I stayed at the hotel on Saturday. It became really noisy around 3-4am because the bar across the street was probably closing and young people were coming out. They were talking loudly or shouting for a while. I am not really sensitive to noise but it was enough noisy to wake me up. Weekends may not be good timing to stay here.
The room was quaint and the beds were comfortable. Nice cafe and bar downstairs.
There was no elevator and the hall lights were always turned off. Also, the room let in a lot of noise from the bar downstairs and people in rooms nearby, so sleep wasn't that great. Otherwise, nice place and good location to zoo, restaurants and shopping.
No lift. Poor Wifi. 15-20 min walk to old town. Breakfast poor.
The stuff are really kind and helpful. The room is big, the ceiling is high, and the interior is of a traditional style and very comfortable. Definetely worth the price.
Nice Café. Big room. Good location.
No elevator. No blackout curtains in the roof window.
Location close to Bismarckplatz is convenient for trams going to the Altstadt. Breakfast at hotel restaurant was very nice - they made us scrambled eggs, bacon, toast & coffee to order.
The wifi signal was so weak, I had to go into the hallway to slowly upload photos to iCloud. Too bad because I was happy with everything else, but good internet connection is very important to me!
no stable WIFI
