Location in the city.
Parking garage and accessibility of the hotel. The hotel is designed as a labyrinth. Girl at the reception reminded me of the service in the DDR.
The rooms are fine
It's so spread out it takes ages to get to/from the rooms and the 2 lifts are completely inadequate for the number of guests. Not a good stay
Fantastic location smack in the middle of ancient and beautiful Goslar. Deluxe rooms are truly stylish and comfortable. No street noise to keep you awake. Restaurant location in 15th century tower is fantastic and menu is true to Goslar traditions - try the wienerschnitzel and excellent local wines! Wellness facilities are top of the range and parking is conveniently integrated with hotel. Excellent english breakfast.
WiFi was temporarily unavailable in parts of the hotel due to technical problems. Hotel bar is a bit on the small side when the hotel is full. No aircon could be an issue in hottest summer month but fortunately wasn't in September.
Surrounding very old town. Room as such ok.
Staff was throughout very tense. WiFi cost a lot and did not work at all. Parking was very complicated and poorly explained. Breakfast as such was ok but room sparse. Bed was worse than what i had in the military. Shower mixer protruded halfway into the shower cabin.
Superb location close to the station and a stunning aspect with the old town walls. Very well-appointed health spa.
Friendly helpful Staff, the facilities are excellent and we found our stay great value for money. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Restaurant food was amazing and everyone made sure we had the best possible experience. We are coming back soon for a longer stay!!
Breakfast staff were a bit slow clearing tables each day after they had a rush of guests but after some prompting to clear a table the service level resumed to the excellent level this Hotel has for its guests.
Hotel room was clean. The room location was great. Great location to go cycling and the location was easy to walk to the town center. Swimming pool and spa was great.
Could not directly walk out to your car due to they blocked the rear doors and forced you to walk through the complete hotel. The hotel advertised yoga but did not have when we arrived. They should remove from their website as this is why we chose the hotel over other hotels in the area.
well located in a lovely town near the Harz mountains
The girl in the bar was wery nice and the food there and breakfast was very good.
The way the staff did not help us to find a lift to our lugage. We had to find it via the restaurant and that lift did not go to rooms starting with 5. It took us more than 30 minuits to go to the room. They did not Clean the glases and not give new towels for the Dirty one.
Good restaurant. Lovely view.
Parking €10 and breakfast €15.
We had room in the new block next to the train line, but we didn't hear the trains, so to us this was no problem. We liked the location in the end of the Pedestrian zone.We enjoyed the Wellness area, thought the swimming pool is small and mostly for kids. Inside the yard the were a few MC parking spaces without charge.
The location is good to walk into town but choose your room very carefully if like us you don't want the sound of trains rattling by. The health suite is really nice.
We had to move rooms due to the noise of trains which ran only meters from the hotel. The web site states 'Since our 'old hotel' is located directly at the pedestrian zone of Goslar, all rooms are very quite!!!!! No tea or coffee making facilities in bedrooms. Swimming pool needed to be warmer for us and the tiles of the pool need cleaning.
Paying for parking - expensive/ we were residents!! Being asked to pay again when we had paid a "non-refundable" full cost prepayment. You had refunded it regardless, and then re-debited. We checked in on time - I have yet to see effect (cost) of this exercise when my statement arrives. Very expensive breakfast which we avoided!
-The location -The staff was very helpful -We got a good deal on the room itself -Goslar is a beautiful city with
-Extra fees for parking - 10 Euro/night -Internet access 15 Euro/day -Though the hotel advertised to be a four star hotel the facilities looked rather old and used-we definitely didn't feel the implied comfort
In addition to being a wonderful hotel, breakfast was fabulous. We could walk to most of the Important sites. If ever in Goslar again, we would stay at Achtermann/ Mark and Brigitta Lake
