A very warm welcome awaited us and the attention to detail set this hotel above most we have stayed at, including a name plate at our door with our name on it. A welcome drink of our choice was brought to us upon our arrival. The in-house restaurant was excellent, the food beautifully prepared and presented and the service impeccable. Our suite was furnished with antiques but above all extremely roomy and comfortable. The setting, across the river from the "old town" was quiet and peaceful but still only a ten minute leisurely walk away. We highly recommend this hotel. The only things that would enhance the experience would be tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a dvd player with dvd's available for non-German speaking guests.

The staff is congenial, knowledgeable and professional. Doubtlessly the retaurants would be excellent but extremely expensive. Location - difficult to reach and far away from everything. Needs complete re-decoration, looks as it if had been done by an elderly dowager in the fifties (1950' s that is). No airconditioning, no idea how anyone stands it in Summer. Tv is of the old cathode ray tube style and not visible from bed. The breakfast buffet is priced at 21 Euros and excepting some rare dondition where they bring it to you in bed and feed it to you, there is no way that there is any value in 21 Euros for breakfast.

Very memorable hotel with rich heritage and culture, solitary location among private mansions, dedicated staff which respectfully nurses the guests with dignity and warmth, and your own name printed at room's door bell. A bit old furniture/facilities and slight naphthaline odour rather complete consistent vintage image than irritate much, and very generous atmosphere expiates every possible inconvenience. We liked to be there and would visit it again by the occasion.

I think it was just about the best welcome we've ever received at a hotel and we stay in quite a lot. The suite was luxurious and very comfortable. I didn't think the breakfast was up to the same standard as meals served in the evening.

The location of hotel is very good. It's within walking distance of the old center of the city, but very peaceful. The history of the hotel is very interesting, though it's mainly apparent in the restaurant area downstairs. Easily reached by bus from the train station, and the staff was very helpful. There was construction happening around the hotel that made it not as quiet in the morning as you would hope, based on its location.

Great ambience, very nice staff, beautiful views and walks in the neighborhood, great food. It's a bit hard to get to, on the other side of the river from most of the town, and the parking is tight.

The quality of the Suite Access was a problem due to extensive long-term roadworks and we wasted much time trying to find a route to the hotel. This could have been avoided if they had advised us of the problem in advance

Kein w-lan
