Good acess to the old town. Plenty of parking. The view of the river. The heavy goods trains that pass day and night a make the hotel shake. The fact that no one pre warns you about it.

Staff were excellent. All friendly and very helpful. All accepted that my German was poor and made a real effort in English for me. Car parking is good and specific parking for bicycles is a nice touch. Situated right on the banks of the Rhine on the opposite side from the town centre. Interesting castle on hill above the hotel and a small ferry takes you across the river when you want. Also on bus route into town. All very easy. Restaurant menu was good in the 2 days we stayed. No specific kids menu but kitchen staff prepared sausages and chips which went down fine. Our room was large and comfortable even with an additional child's bed in it.

This was a return visit to this hotel. Its location on the river is wonderful and now that the civic works along both banks of the Rhine are finished it is a lovely place to walk and to catch the boat across to the old town.

Clean, comfortable, traditional hotel; staff efficient and very helpful. Issue relating to final account was quickly and satisfactorily resolved. Pleasant view in front rooms and restaurant area of the Rhine River. The main train line (freight and passenger) is located adjacent (two metres) to the hotel. The hotel is sound proof, but need to keep windows closed other wise the noise of the trains is very intrusive. Our room was in the front of the hotel and we were aware of the trains. Not sure what the situation is for the rooms in the back of the hotel. Hotel makes no mention of the proximity of the train line in its promotional material.

A train is passing 2m from your bed. The dinner was poor for what we paid. It was a one-night stay, traveling to the final holiday location, luckily.

The hotel staff were excellent and always on hand to help any way they could. The rooms were a little out dated and in need of some modernisation, certainly a little over priced for the standard of room. That said the public areas of the hotel were of an exceptionally high standard and the location was fantastic.

The room we stayed in was very good, but it wasn't the one we booked originally. We were first offered a room, which could accommodate 2 adults and one child, but had no window in the adults section, which was unacceptable. We had to change into a different room, but the cost was 60 eur more per night. Linen was not changed over 4 days and until we left. The hotel advertises it's spa facilities, but the pool is very small (6-7 m in diameter). We are not used to railway being so close to the hotel, which made the whole building rattle from time to time.

Room was quiet, clean & confortable. Staff helpful. Service good. On opposite side of Rhine to most attractions, river ferry service only runs 8:30 to 19:45, other cross river transport options less convenient.

The staff were excellent, -friendly and very helpful, particularly Mrs Aubrich made our stay very relaxing. Thank you for the early morning coffee. We suggest that you offer early morning room coffee/tea to guests from Australia, America, Canada, England, South Africa-- it is actually standard hotel/motel practice in those countries. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

We asked for a river view room, and got checked in one of the older rooms that are down below the first floor...New rooms are facing the river and have full view...I asked the desk clerk to put us in one of the newer, which she had available, but told us they were booked..Anyhow, we checked in to the new room, 112 I think, and it was better...flat screen tv on the wall, and a bath tub in the room, :) was a nice stay...the hotel has a lounge as well....I'd recommend this hotel if you want a nice comfortable, quiet stay...Breakfast was not that great, and should be included with the room rate... Breakfast should be included with room rate....Old rooms are by the sauna, and where restaurant leaves their carry on trays.....

Good restaurant overlooking the river as do many of the rooms. Also plenty of space for your car. As we stayed four days our room was a little short on draw space.

The very expensive dinner (served on the lovely balcony overlooking the Rhine) was less than impressive. The service was unforgivably slow. They took twenty minutes to tell us that the bottle of wine they had recommended was no longer in stock, and another fifteen before they brought a different bottle of Riesling. One of the salads they served was wonderful, but the other salad and the main courses were pedestrian. We ate in the city after that dinner, and did very well.
