Hotel Diplomat  

We showed up late and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They also allowed to have our breakfast early since we had to leave in the morning before the breakfast actually opened. Not sure about the neighborhood since we arrived late and had to leave early, but it seemed ok. Gps was great getting us there and back out of the city easily.

Hotel Diplomat is the best 3-star hotel that I have stayed (and I have stayed in many in the US, since this is what we find of value.) It is a great location and the staff is very professional, helpful and friendly. It is discreet enough that it does not attract rough crowds yet with a few blocks of areas where more party-dwellers seek. There are a lot of restaurants, stores and museums in the area. The bigger department stores and boutiques are also within a walking distance. Most important, it is a block away from the Rhine river (for those mind-refreshing walks).

Nothing - we were caught by location and exterior photo of this hotel. It was the worst hotel I have used in over 40 yrs of travel around the world room very very poor, dilapidated, many sanitary items broken or in disrepair. I WOULD RECOMMEND Booking.com REMOVE from their listings with immediate effect

The hotel is very well located, just hundred meters far from the metro station. It is up to you to decide whenever you want really catch the metro or just walk to the city centre. If you want to walk it takes approximately 20 minutes. Our double room was very basic but worth for the money you have to pay for it. The staff is really friendly, they will help you anyhow. Breakfast (included with price) is pretty much okey.

The bathroom is rather small and old. Hair dried is at disposal at the reception.

Location is near the S-bahn station. About 1 km away from downtown shopping center Ziel. Trams are also available at 500 meters distance. Counter staff specially lady in morning is very cooperative and helpful for visitors. The breakfast was good. Washroom was clean but of old fashion. Need to be upgraded as per new standard. However in price paid by us, hotel is good for stay.

the only thing was no tea or coffee making facitiles in the room which would have been ideal also tv was only in german would have been nice a couple of english channels

We've have a problem with our car and all staff tried to help us in spite of the holiday 31/12. If we're going to visit Frankfurt we'll stay in this hotel

hotel position is quite central, about 15 mins by walk to reach the main square. Excellent value for money

Old fashioned furniture and hairdryer are at disposal by request at reception. Breakfast room is quite small for all the guests

Great and extremely calm location in the city centre. Train and subway only 1 minute walk away. Good, full and sufficient breakfast buffet. Good value for money!

Rooms are very small, little bit battered and could be even cleaner. Old mountings and no shower curtain in the small bathroom, windows don't close appropriately which is unsatisfying particularly in winter...

The only good thing is that is very close to the s Bahn and to the main station.
