Score from 1253 reviews Good
A 5 minute walk from Munich Central Station and the Oktoberfest site, this non-smoking hotel offers soundproof rooms, free Wi-Fi and a daily breakfast buffet. The interiors feature pop art.
Score from 3910 reviews Very good
Just 600 metres from Munich Central Train Station, Bayers Boardinghouse und Hotel is conveniently located in the city. It offers stylish, self-catering accommodation with free WiFi access.
Score from 319 reviews Good
This cozy hotel in Munich offers well-equipped rooms and excellent public transportation access, just a short walk away from the Theresienwiese Oktoberfest grounds and the main train station.
Score from 404 reviews Very good
Decent breakfast (minus the fruit and vegetables), friendly staff
Since the location is near the main train station, there are some sketchy people wandering about at night. The fruit and vegetables available at breakfast weren't all that good.
- staff kindness - breakfast quality over expected
- wifi actually did not work or very slowly
Close to the Hauptbanhof
WiFi was free, but did not work very well
Friendly staff, quiet room, comfortable beds, good breakfast and free bottle of mineral water in room. Close to main train station and theater.
Location to everything and close to train station. Wish wehad more time to explore the area around the hotel. Staff were great. We would stay again.
No washcloths. But that maybe an american custom only.
Not a great choice of food for breakfast, almost no furniture in the room, Muslim quarter.
The location was good, even though it was in a pretty bad area (Strip clubs and Döner shops all over the street). - The breakfast buffet was pretty good, especially when considered it is included in the price.
The WiFi at the Hotel was not very good. The connection was good at some points and other points it was impossible to load anything online.
Poor wifi connection
Good location just 5 minutes from the Munich Hbf and Karlsplatz. Nothing else.
Uncomfortable rooms. No safebox. Awful uncomfortable lobby (actually there is no lobby) and restaurant. Check in at 15:00, check out at 11:00. No electronic keys.
Breakfast is very in good in terms of both options and quality of food Room very clean and toilet/shower good
Area is cheap for a reason -- safe and central but not great
The receptionist I think her name was Irene was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast very good Location very good close to the main station
The room is clean. The facilities are good. The location is in walkable range from the train station. Good for business travel.
Some staffs are very rude. I understand that some staff are too proud too speak English. But Munich is an international city (or do I misunderstood? ). If you are not ready to go international, please mention in the hotel description, that you are Auslander hässlich. I saw that all the german guests are satisfied with the service, maybe that the reason why the hotel got so high rating. Unfortunately, we didn't get a good experience at all. We travelled with seniors who can only understand english. Unfortunately, I studied and working in germany for a long time to understand german very well, enough to understand all what they said and expressed. Recommend this hotel for Germans only.
Staff very friendly especially at the front desk
basic but comfortable and clean, we had no external noise in our room even when the window was open (think most rooms face a courtyard). decent breakfast and about 5 or so min walk to central station and city centre proper
too many strip clubs and seedy people hanging about in the early hours - i didn't personally feel unsafe
Breakfast good. Friendly staff.
Wi Fi awful. Kept kicking us off. Manager gave us 30 min free of good signal. Important for us to make another hotel reservation.
Helpful stuff, good breakfast, location.
WiFi signal is very low
There was towels in the bathroom of this three star hotel! Although the breakfast buffet was only continental it was quite varied and even included a type of hard goat's cheese, my favorite!
Free wifi, good breakfast.
Oktoberfest was within walking distance (15 minute walk) Hotel was clean and our room was big. Breakfast was your typical European breakfast--meats, cheese, bread
Pillows were very flat.
Great location with loads of shops and places to eat and McDonald's close by. 5-10 Min walk to Oktoberfest. Staff were friendly and welcoming even with us being English and intent on getting drunk
Room was quite hot and bit pricey but best we found during Oktoberfest so reccomend
Clean Well located: walking distance to train, tour buses and old Munich Elevators to rooms small but adequate Excellent choice for breakfast Helpful staff, e.g. directions, general info
A perception of unsavory characters (sometimes) along the street leading from the train station to the hotel although no trouble walking after dark (we were two mature couples) from Old Munich. Lots of other people (single, couples) also walking, so perhaps not an issue. No A/C in our rooms but didn't need it as the evenings were cool: they provide fans and the windows are large. Not sure about A/C availability in the other rooms. Asked for a wake-up call which didn't happen: I always have a back-up anyway (iPhone/iPad)
Convenient and interesting (international and multi cultural) area. Breakfast. Spacious room.
Wifi condition. Available only at the reception area.
Great location between oktoberfest grounds and old town if you plan to do both. Very friendly staff, morning breakfast was great, comfy and clean rooms. Very safe and we'll secured hotel. Close to train station.
A few loud guests from time to time but it's oktoberfest so to be expected. Nothing the white noise application on my phone couldn't drown out. Expensive but also rates increase by 300% during oktoberfest all over town so not surprising. Overall, no complaints!
Staff was freindly and nice. The hotel was very clean. Location of Oktoberfest was easy walk of about 10 minutes. Also easy walk in other direction to Central station for train and other areas of interest in city.
The only issue I had was early in each morning there was a sound of rolling cart with bottles that awoke me. I learned it was the cart from the staff rolling it down the hallway each morning to resupply the bar with beer. There was also then the slamming twice of a metal door. I later learning this too was from the garbage dumpster. So the staff have to be a little more considerate of us travelers and be aware of those trying to sleep in. The neighborhood did have a shady side with some strip joints and some qustionable men hanging around all the time. But the mix of nice people was there too and made it safer.
Good hotel, great breakfast which is handy during oktoberfest time.
Lighting is a fire hazard to the point they actually have a sign about it.. two of our towela caught fire!! Why not replace lights instead of putting up a sign!
