ECONTEL HOTEL München  

The room was big enough for a family with 2 children, decent breakfast, convenient parking, supermarkets nearby.

There is an S-bahn line just behind the hotel, and no conditioning in the room, so you have to open the window too sleep. The noise is not too heavy but maybe annoying for a sensitive person. Wifi is not available in the rooms. S-bahn station is quite near, but the hotel is far from city center, you will need 30 min to get there.

The hotel is situated in the eastern Munich, which makes it a good choice for those who have early flight from Manninheim. Please, note that the railway is next to the hotel, so it might disturb some people (I didn't care and my wife did). We both liked breakfast. Overall comment- good value for money.

For some reason they think the small menu offerings trump any other options. We were told to immediately leave the lobby with our bottled water because it was not purchased from here. When I approached the desk to inquire why, I was asked 'would you bring food to another restaurant.' His tone was so rude, I commented on it and he said thank you....very condescending. While I appreciate that logic, this is a hotel lobby and not a restaurant. There is no coffee unless you pay for the entire breakfast, and since wifi is only available in the lobby, it's a real pain. After two weeks of traveling throughout Europe with other great experiences, this is a crappy to end it. Boo and don't stay here!

Great place, I recommend it a lot

The hotel is very close to the tram station (less than 5 minute walk), which goes directly to the Hauptbahnhof and Marienplatz. There is a gas station/convenience store on one side, and a McDonald's on the other, and both are open late and on Sundays. The hotel room was much bigger than we expected, and it was very clean. We only stayed for one night, but it would have been a very comfortable room for a longer stay. The staff spoke English and were very friendly. We chose this hotel because it was one of the cheapest we found, but it was a great value.

The beds were a little bit squeaky and hard. They were fine to sleep on, but a little bit loud if you're a tosser. It would have also been great to have a few additional pillows, because the ones they have are feather pillows and go flat easily. One thing that would make this hotel just perfect is if they had a mini fridge in the room. There is a table to eat on and lots of storage, which makes it a good place to stay for longer than a night, but it's hard to stay for very long without a fridge.

Almost everything was good in the hotel - service, staff, room, equipment etc.

Our room was right above the McDonalds restaurant, which is in the same building. The visitors of McDonalds eating at the outdoors tables were smoking and spoke loudly so we had to always close the windows. However smoke was so heavy that its smell was evident even in the morning.

The price is very good. The hotel is clean and close to a McDonalds, Train Station and Supermarket. Free internet is available on the hotel reception.

The hotel is located closed to train station which takes only 10 mins walk. The room is clean & tidy and suit for 4 of us staying in. It offers free WiFi and complementary coffee/tea in the lobby. McDonald just next to the hotel.
