ECONTEL HOTEL München  

It was cheap.

For some reason they think the small menu offerings trump any other options. We were told to immediately leave the lobby with our bottled water because it was not purchased from here. When I approached the desk to inquire why, I was asked 'would you bring food to another restaurant.' His tone was so rude, I commented on it and he said thank you....very condescending. While I appreciate that logic, this is a hotel lobby and not a restaurant. There is no coffee unless you pay for the entire breakfast, and since wifi is only available in the lobby, it's a real pain. After two weeks of traveling throughout Europe with other great experiences, this is a crappy to end it. Boo and don't stay here!

The hotel is very close to the tram station (less than 5 minute walk), which goes directly to the Hauptbahnhof and Marienplatz. There is a gas station/convenience store on one side, and a McDonald's on the other, and both are open late and on Sundays. The hotel room was much bigger than we expected, and it was very clean. We only stayed for one night, but it would have been a very comfortable room for a longer stay. The staff spoke English and were very friendly. We chose this hotel because it was one of the cheapest we found, but it was a great value.

The beds were a little bit squeaky and hard. They were fine to sleep on, but a little bit loud if you're a tosser. It would have also been great to have a few additional pillows, because the ones they have are feather pillows and go flat easily. One thing that would make this hotel just perfect is if they had a mini fridge in the room. There is a table to eat on and lots of storage, which makes it a good place to stay for longer than a night, but it's hard to stay for very long without a fridge.

Price, hotel staff, parking

Stayed in a family room (Mickey Mouse theme), great idea! Great for our youngest. McDonald's outside so easy to grab cheap meal and not to far from centre of town - we had a car to be able to drive in. Secure garage parkng available for a reasonable fee.

Access to a printer without being charged. Also not having to forward what I need printed to the staff.

The hotel is situated in the eastern Munich, which makes it a good choice for those who have early flight from Manninheim. Please, note that the railway is next to the hotel, so it might disturb some people (I didn't care and my wife did). We both liked breakfast. Overall comment- good value for money.

Convenience to Oktoberfest

A triple room was actually a double bed and a single bed.

S Bahn verry convinient location. Marija, reception girl was verry kind and helpfull.

Room was verry smelly... Like smoking room even though the smoking isn't aloud.

Budget and not too far away of city center

I would liked to had free car park

They have free coffee & tea between 13pm and 23pm.

1. We booked non smoking room and unfortunately our room was smoking one. We called the reception but they said they can not do anything. 2. At 09:30 in the morning, the room cleaner asked me when we will leave the room, because he have to make the room!?!?!

The s-bahn station to the city centre is very near. Free wi-fi. The family room was very nice. The parking under the hotel cheap for 3 days (4€ a day). Free hot drinks at the reception from 11am to 12 pm.
