Location is excellent & hotel & staff are above expectations.

I requested a riverside mountain view room with balcony. However, mistake happened in the reservation. The room first given was a terrace room facing garden on the ground floor. It was not what i expected. After making request to the staff, she tried their best to accommodate us with one of their best rooms. The offered room room was huge and specially decorated, though beside the street, we liked it. Although mistake happened in room reservation, their staff demonstrated their helpfulness and kindness to make our stay better. I was truly thankful for their sincere services.

Guests feel definitely cared here. The staff is extremely professional and kind. All details are taken care and you can see the owner always present, to make sure guest have what they would like. The breakfast is definitely above the average. The underground parking is a great advantage in a snowy area. The fast interenet connection, rare in Garmisch, is an important advantage for those who want to be connected.

The location is not exactly in the middle of the commercial centre, but you can reach it in few minutes walking and the benefit is tranquillity and the lack of noise.

Beautiful place and extremely friendly and helpful staff. They were very accommodating when we had to arrive late. I would definitely stay here again!

The spacious and comfortable room, the closeness of the hotel to the center,the staff,the owners of the hotel,the ski trainer Robert the owners found for us who was a perfect trainer,the candy bars they put on our son's plate each morning during breakfast and the chocolate bar they gave us as a thank you during the check out :)

Nothing, everything was like a dream.we would like to go to go back to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and would stay in Hotel Edelweiss again without a doubt.

Nice rooms, close to the hub without being directly in it good breakfast and freindly/helpful staff. Very quaint type of hotel.

Too quiet, little social activity at the hotel.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and informative. The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety of food. The hotel is located within a 5-15 minute drive of the most popular ski lifts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

The room was amazing, as was the rest of the hotel. Traditionally Bavarian decorated. It was only a short, 5 mins walk from the centre of Garmisch.

The perfect Bavarian holiday experience.

Having read previous reviews, I decided to stay there and was not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice, my room had beautiful period features and antique furniture and was really big for a single. Free Internet worked well and had a decent speed.

I missed a kettle in the room to be able to make my own hot drinks, particularly given that there's nobody at the reception after 10 pm.

There was nothing we did not like. It was perfect!

From the moment our taxi driver dropped us off at the front door, we were greeted with a smile by our wonderful German and English-speaking host and hostess who immediately delivered our luggage to our room. The hotel in its Bavarian splendor was decorated for Christmas, and our room with a view of the snowy Alps was roomy, but quite cozy and inviting. A delicious breakfast was served in a charming dining room; we did not want to leave! I would love to come back in the summer time when we could truly enjoy this special gem in the Alps and take advantage of the great outdoors and visit the surrounding towns and cities that are just a short hop by train.

Not a thing....however, when we were picked up at the train station by the taxi and told him we were staying at the Edelweiss, he took us to the American Edelweiss Compound where a security clearance is needed....clearly, we were in the wrong location. The taxi driver did not ask us at which Edelweiss we were staying....so be sure to tell the taxi driver that you are staying at the Bavarian Edelweiss...we were charged for the extra mileage to get to the correct location..and it was his mistake for not clarifying the location with us at the beginning....we had even given him an address..!! An expensive taxi ride!!! Live and Learn!

good location within walking distance of the downtown, including a covered parking garage. very attentive owners and friendly service overall. great value for the money!
