Score from 4567 reviews Excellent
In the historic Old Town of Dresden, this designer hotel is just 2 miles from Dresden Exhibition Centre. Motel One Dresden am Zwinger has free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk.
Score from 1509 reviews Excellent
This hotel is set among the delightful gardens of the Elbe Embankment, directly across the beautiful Augustusbrücke bridge in Dresden's Baroque district.
Score from 1386 reviews Very good
Receptionist was lovely
Very sparse area but well connected
- staff - location - breakfast - entrance hall - room
If I were really to be picky, I would ask them to enlarge the small shower which can be slippery. Otherwise top marks.
No free WiFi available!
Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Room price.
Bar & restaurant menu limited. Pillows on bed.
The size of the room is great, and it's very well divided and very stylish. Everything was there as ordered (we were there with our babies). Staff are very professional and polite. We called the reception to ask extra bags and diapers collection, and they promptly assisted us. Overally very cosy and welcoming Hotel !
Blankets were too short and clumpy, and we experienced a couple short power losses during our stay (lasted a couple minutes) but the real minus about this Hotel is the Italian Restaurant inside (4 Cani) which wasn't good at all. I ordered some spaghetti carbonara which were clearly warmed up from who knows when, badly cooked and absolutely unacceptable... had to leave them and order another meat dish (which was acceptable... but hey it was grilled meat !). They still charged me also for the spaghetti that went un-eaten. Wi-Fi connection is served via T-Online hotspot card which is daily and wasn't that good.
Our room was very spacious.
All was very good.
Large well equipped bedrooms with comfortable beds. Easy connections by tram to all parts of city.
Indifferent staffing, functional but not that friendly with exception of breakfast staffing who were good. No choice of restaurants in vicinity. Largely in residential area.
Our room at Hotel Elbflorenz was very comfortable , nicely decorated very clean with a large bathroom with toiletries. The large bed was also very comfortable. We chose this Hotel as it had on site parking but this was actually an underground car park for both the Hotel and the World Trade Centre but it was well lit with specific spaces for the Hotel use and it felt very secure. It did however cost 12 euros per day. The staff on reception were very pleasant and helpful giving us a city map and directions to the main centre. WiFi in the rooms was extra cost but there was a computer in the lobby which was free to use at anytime.
Nothing to dislike about Hotel but to note it is about a 15/20 minute walk into the centre of Dresden.
- room service - pizza Toscana - polite and friendly stuff at the reception and lobby bar - good location - clean rooms, great bad and pillows
Very clean and comfortable; good position not far from old town centre or the main station.
Very impersonal atmosphere. This was the only hotel of a ten day trip to charge for internet access and the price for breakfast was extremely high.
Quality hotel. Very good facilities. Large room. Superb air-con. Very comfortable bed. Very good bathroom.
You pay for all the extras including wifi
exactly what you can expect from that kind of level of hotel in Germany
do not come by car and do not have breakfast= both cost you a fortune
Well located just outside the old town centre. Trams stop right outside and is an easy 20 minute amble to the Zwinger, Opera, Cathedral and the other Altstadt sighrs. All amazingly well reconstructed in authentic style. Hotel restaurant was good and not overly expensive. Staff throughout very attentive.
Breakfast is over-priced by a long way. Go to the bakery for breakfast just 20 metres from the hotel instead. Entrance to underground carpark is very tight, made worse by iron bars set about 20 centimetres above road level but out of sight to a driver which protrude unnecessarily at the entrance. Needless to say, it will cost me a fair few bob to have my front offside bumper resprayed! Finally, the failure to provide free wifi in the hotel - charge of €4.95 per day - seems odd compared to several other hotels of a similar rating and price-range we stayed in during a fortnight's car tour around Germany. You can, if you can be bithered, go into the atrium of the World Trade Centre where the hotel is situated and wander around trying to pick up the rather slow connection.
I like free buffet breakfast
Easy to find. Comfortable room. Excellent bathroom. Convenient parking underground at hotel. Friendly restaurant staff and good meals, including breakfast.
Younger reception staff unfriendly, echoes of pre-1989 attitudes. They need to be trained to see the customer more positively.
no free wifi
Upscale hotel that is extremely clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. About 15-20 minute walk from the old city, and tram is across the street from hotel if you chose to take public transportation. Bikes were available for rentals.
Internet was not accessible. They give out a limited number of tickets each day for customers to have internet. I believe that this quality hotel should provide internet for everyone free of charge. At least in the lobby. I didn't purchase the breakfast because it was a little pricey, but there is a bakery a few feet away in the connected shops where we ate each morning.
Quite an average business hotel. The breakfast was very good, unfortunately not the service. Huge difference between great staff at the reception and below average in the restaurant.
My room was noting special. Noisy. Sill no free Wi-Fi included in a room rate. Totally unacceptable for a hotel of that standard and with that room rates, especially since the whole Germany is a total black hole when it comes to question of public free Wi-Fi availability.
Good quality for low price
Most staff but 1 very rude and unhelpful let the hotel down
Same as before
The rooms were impeccable, bathrooms 5-star quality. Being next to an enclosed shopping area was convenient too.
Did not expect walking distance to Dresden Altstadt to be that far. Taking the streetcars, however, took care of that.
Fantastic facilities, everything is really nice. Definitely would recommend staying there again. Also pretty easy to walk to the Old Town.
This may have been because of the heat, but I feel like it's maybe a bit of an effort to get there by foot - should definitely think about getting a taxi, even though it looks like it's close to the train station on google maps...
Breakfast great. Hotel totally new.
Long 10 minutes walk to the city center thrugh quite a solely area
Location, room, check out time
Really nice hotel. Great location
Booked months ago Asked for twin rooms, given doubles.asked to change was told they were full, then a miracle they found 2 rooms, the receptionist was very rude and unhelpful
