This centrally located hotel is just a 1-minute walk from Munich’s Pedestrian Area, Old Town and Sendlinger Tor subway station. It has modern rooms with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 1621 reviews Good
Fairly spacious room compared to other hotels that I've stayed in Europe. Good location. Short walk to the town center and to Oktoberfest
The hotel and the furniture were very dated. But it was clean
Near Bahnhof. Value for money +. (don't expect luxury - you haven't paid for it!)suitable for overnight stay
Had stayed before. Our bedroom badly needs redecorating (marks on walls) and updating.
Close to Hbf and updated bathroom
Loud street noise and thin walls.
wi-fi is not free
They charge a wifi fee which only access to one apparat
Service, Reception, Frühstück
helpful staff could leave my suitcase in a locked room after check-out for a few hours - very convenient
would like to have free wi-fi for hotel guests
location is good and staff are very helpful.
the red curtain makes the room look creepy.
Very close to main train station, very clean, with comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful, highly recommended.
Nothing to dislike.
Near central station and metro, you can get anywhere in no time at all
Breakfast not included (9€ per person), wi-fi not included (3.50 per day and single device limited)
Good location - close to the train station, about 3 blocks from the Lowenbraukeller, and about 5 blocks each from the Augustinerkeller and Karlsplatz. Breakfast was good. Hotel staff reasonably friendly and nice. This is a no frills place with a good location, but maybe should be avoided for longer stays in the summer.
No AC, which made the room unbearably hot and difficult to sleep in. You had to have the windows open, which sometimes was not too noisy, but other times VERY noisy. My room was VERY sunny and bright by 6:00am, so combined with the heat and the brightness it was impossible to sleep after 6:00am. After five days of lots of walking in the heat and very little sleep I was exhausted. My guess is that this is a much better place in the winter when the days are shorter, the sun rises later, you won't melt from the heat, and the windows can be kept closed to keep out the noise. The surrounding neighborhood is not so pretty, but then again it is near a train station.
Cute place. Not modern. But that's ok.
Not so quiet; lots of noise from street. But it was world cup and Germany was playing, so it's ok.
Location and convenience, good for budget
no aircon so rooms were hot, triple room was a bit small for comfort
Rooms are big and very close to the main train station.
Breakfast and wifi are not complimentary.
The location was just 3 minute (max) walk from main train station, eateries, shopping, etc. The room was simple and clean. nothing fancy but definitely all i needed. the staff was cordial. great value!
my room had no air conditioning and i stayed in june. there is some street noise so if you are a light sleeper this could be an issue throughout the night.
helpful staff good breakfast large well furnished room comfortable bed with good linen handy location near station, quiet
very dirty carpet walls need painting
No airflow in the rooms made it completely unbearable to try sleeping. Might be great in the winter!
Good location near the railway station.
Too expensive for the quality of the hotel (infrastructure, equipment in rooms, breakfast,...)
Excellent breakfast (not so expensive); Next to Sloterdijk main station and a tram and bus stops; Excellent staff;
Nothing to complain
The hotel lived up to be everything that other reviewers mentioned. The value is great for the money and the location is very good. We walked everywhere directly from the hotel; Marienplatz, the English Garden, Hofbrauhaus the Deutsches Museum, and other nearby attractions as well without any problems. The facilities were clean and the cleaning lady was very nice.
The front reception man really isn't too friendly (not an issue for me, but may be problematic for others). I think my only complaint is that it is quite noisy at night, especially with the windows open. Since there wasn't any a/c or central air, I kept the window open (that's how it was when we entered the room) for the night but was woken up on numerous occasions from car horns or people walking by three stories below. But again, for the money and location, it's not anything to get worked up about.
Everything was incredibly old.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
TV didn't work. Housekeeping came by far too early.
The single room is small but for a couple of days, it could be acceptable because the furnitures are well arranged.
The area is very noisy, and the main consequence is that the sleeping is disturbed a lot. In the morning I awaked with a sense of tiredness.
