I liked that it was a nice, clean reasonably priced hotel close to the downtown area. We were walking distance from everything important to us. Getting the water in the bathroom to stay on was impossible. Saving money is good, stressing out clients is not.be little more generous with the water supply.

The quadruple bedroom on the first floor was really beautiful and large. The bedrooms on the other side of the road were big and comfortable. The staff at our arrival was not very gentle. There is no lift and nobody who can help with the luggage. The hotel is a mixture of old and new, cheap pieces of furniture in not very large bedrooms. Not all the bedrooms were well-cleaned.

Very nice staff, very calm, clean, big room, close to the historic city center, restaurants and bars nearby, huge tv Decoration is a little old fashioned; no elevator (4 floors); got problems with the wireless internet connection (I was immediately offered a cable); double bed is actually two single beds (not a problem for me actually, but some would like to know);

It was very comfortable and affordable. The reception desk staffer was great; we also appreciated the free internet. The breakfast was good although Americans prefer eggs in the morning. The room is basic, not fancy, which is what we wanted. Appreciated having 5 beds in the room. The tv was awesome - we could watch bbc!! I wish they had an option to order eggs for breakfast. If they did, I didn't notice. The lobby was small; if you want a place to "hang out", this isn't it. But everything else is fine

Friendly, helpful, welcoming, efficient staff, excellent location, nice breakfast in charming surroundings, very nice old-world, high ceilinged room that was extremely comfortable, beautiful modern bath, quiet but close to everything. We were three adults in a room designed for four, and it was just right.

The atmosphere of the hotel is totally warm and cosy. The staffs at the reception or cafeteria are very nice and friendly. 3 Euro for breakfast is excellent!! Much more than expected!! We stayed at a comfort double room. The price is very fair and very reasonable!!!!!

Breakfast quality and variety The fact that we we told we had to walk across the street to another building; the room key we were given, did not fit the lock to the entrance door and though we reported it, nobody bothered to check it

Breakfast variety was good and good value. Quiet location with free Internet. Fridge and safe in room. Walking distance to public transport, old town attractions etc. Helpful staff give a friendly family feeling. Faulty shower that turned itself off every 20 seconds!!! - although the bathroom was generally pleasant. Old building with little touches needing maintenance such as a ripped curtain etc.

This was the best priced hotel we could find in Heidelberg, which is to say still pretty expensive, but we got a good deal through booking.com. We booked a 4-person room that turned out to be two double beds. My son and daughter were not happy about having to share. The bathrooms are completely remodeled with radiant heating in the floor and lovely new fixtures with water saving features like electric eye in the sink and an auto-off in the shower after 1 minute. You can easily turn it back on, but amazingly the shower got it right every time for me--just as I was done getting wet, it went off, and just as I was done rinsing it went off again. The rest of the room was clean but shabby. The people were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and well-priced. The desk is only staffed until 8 pm, but they have a system for letting you get your key from an automated dispenser outside the front door after hours. You have to get a special ticket for the free internet service, though, so if you arrive after 8 pm you won't be able to get any internet until the next morning. My only real complaint is that the building is old and the doors don't close very well so there was light from the hallway coming through the crack between the door and the door frame all night. It didn't seem very secure. Also, the door must be locked from the inside with the key, which seems like a bit of a fire hazard. And, the walls are paper thin, so when a neighboring guest came in at 2 am, we could hear him whistling and talking to himself for 20 min as he let the door slam closed, dropped his heavy bags, showered, and finally went to sleep.

The rooms were quite large and comfortable, they have considered everything the clients might require. The hotel is less then a km to the old town. The price was a little bit high and the hotel building we stayed had no elevator.

Good location, close enough to walk to the main shopping area. Hotel standard is up to scratch and would stay there again, except for a few minor issues. Some of the staff is very friendly and helpful about where to go, what to eat, etc. Super fast wifi in the room. Had to stay in the room right at the very top - four flights of very steep stairs. So advise to book early and ask for a room on a lower floor. Heating didn't work in room - used the air conditioner on warm but was not really enough. Breakfast and parking not included - just be aware of that before you book. Parking is only 3 euros a day so is actually good value for a city with limited parking in the city centre.

The room was renovated, clean and big. Beds were comfortable. Enjoyed a very good breakfast. Unfortunately the wood floor makes a lot of noise and you hear others walking in thei rooms as well.
