Hotellissa hyvä tunnelma niin palvelun kuin ympäristönkin suhteen ja hyvä musa! Kiva lobby drinkkien siemailuun sekä hotellin ravintolankin ruoka oli hyvää. Hyvä sisäpihan terassi grilleineen - muista varata pöytä ruuhkaisina aikoina! Loistava aamiainen - ei kylläkään kuulu hintaan. Rauhalliset, siistit huoneet. Sijainti lähes KaDeWen "takapihalla" ja hyvä yhteys lentokentälle. Voisin mennä vaikka uudelleen...

Pesualtaan avoimuus huoneeseen hieman häiritsi. Säilytystilaa tavaroille yllättävän vähän. Polkupyöriä ei voinut (ensimmäiselle päivälle) varata etukäteen seuraavaksi päiväksi.

Hotelli oli hinta-laatu suhteeltaan ja sijainniltaan hyvä

Huoneen sai käyttöönsä vasta kello 15, joskin lisähintaan sen sai aikaisemmin käyttöön

love the bed n pillow so comfort n the design of the hotel is unique n clean n near to shopping area

- staff of the reception needs training - area in front of the elevaitors in all floors including the enterance should be upgreded to be up to the standred of the hotel

everything else the carpet especially was very dirty.

The reception staff blocked twice the amount of my booking upon arrival without informing me. They just asked for my credit card as a security for the extras, I gave it to them but they never mentioned that they were going to block such a high amount. I was without money for almost three days until they have managed to return back the money to me. It is illegal to block money from clients credit card without informing them! When I went to pay the last night before departure we had to wait for 20 minutes, because the receptionist was new (like most of the reception staff) and he didn't know what to do. In the end he charged us less by mistake and then he came up to my room to advise that a mistake was made and he had taken from our card the correct amount. I think the hotel should invest in some qualified staff (or train well the existing one) and definitely they should inform guests if they are going to block any money from their credit cards.

For this hotel the wi fi must be free!!! And if this is not possible, with different policy about the rates for wi fi 3 euro for 1 hour???

It was ok there at the Hotel, the Prices were ok too. We did not like the fact that the Personal Woke us up early at 7.30 every Morning to ask if they could clean up the rooms. It was way too early , we think 8.30 is a good time to awake up Quests . We were on Holiday and we needed to Sleep a little longer. Otherwise we liked it ,it is clean, Simple yet Luxurious ( We Like Minimalistic) very Central and close to all the fancy nice places in Berlin.

Att de lurade oss med telefonen, we had a cheap line rate that one has to dial 0800 ,and then the respective number. In germany, there are the so called prepaid international fone calls. We used them , but still we were charged , @hotel esplanade which we slept in for 5 nights before moving to ellington , my wife made international calls using the prepaid cards and we were not charged. So we will never ever return there, we charged over 15o Euros only for fones: never ever to that place again:

Location is fairly good, and easily connected to the city centre through U-bahn

3€/H for wifi, when most hotels give it for free nowadays...

Standard rooms are just a bit too small for more than a couple of days. Would like English movie channels on tv. Happy to pay for tv movies

room (delux) was spacious and modern, all facilities worked well, coffee machine is a nice thing. Very good breakfast, visited Duke once and also was very content

blocked 400 eur on my acct for 4 days was a surprise

I quite appreciated the way the hotel has been renovated, without taking the original sheer off it

Smokers rooms are unbearable even for smoker, we chose a non smoker one

Beautiful older building, combined with up to date stylish modern interior. Good lobby and restaurant.

It is simply ridiculous in this day and age of smart phones, tablets and lap tops you still have to pay per hour for an internet connection in this level of hotel. More-over so, when only one device can be used with that connection. One big mistake of the staff: no warning at all the hotel was located inside the marathon course, even though we had booked a car parking place. Leaving on marathon day was very difficult.

The design, the bar, the position, the music, the art/photography

It charges for WiFi. Cheap hotels don'T. The fish I was served at dinner was badly cut and badly cooked, and while I was given a complimentary desert to share with my wife as compensation, I was still charged for it. Also the explanation from the manager was inadequate. Power went off in the night which meant we lost wi-fi and TV in the morning and I had work to do before going out sightseeing. Work I could not do because of this electrical problem. Also the room was hot with sun shining directly on it and the power outage meant the air-con didn't work. So in the morning we woke up sweating. I expected better gym/spa facilities. I was served a weak, small Vodka Martini at the downstairs courtyard bar for the same price as a better one in the main bar. I was looking forward to staing at the Ellington having previously had two very nice evenings of cocktails and dinner there in the past two years. But I really didn't enjoy my stay.

The rooms are decorated in cool minimalism - all white and brushed stainless steel, with some brown and tray touches. I found it cool and quiet, on a hot, humid, noisy day, and when I had any problems the hotel staff were very helpful.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Very handy location, close to the U Bahn and great shopping.
