+ greate view + nice modern room
+ internet is a bit slow
Nice and large rooms. Very nice food and good service in the restaurant.
The free WiFi is not very good. If you want better speed you need to pay 10 EUR/day
Very nice breakfast
The Wi-Fi was creep and you had to pay it you wanted a faster one
Good Location. Easy to get taxis and back to hotel. Clean and comfortable. Rooms fairly big. Breakfast quality was good. Bar, Wines were well furnished.
10% charge on conversion on Money. Restaurants within the hotel not adequate, thus most people go outside for dinner. I think the hotel misses a lot of revenue on not having proper restaurant menu and timing.
Easy access to waterfront, U & S stations, reeperbahn etc. Lounge on top was popular Room and shower were larger than most European hotels
Breakfast was pricey, but, high quality. Price for entertainment to watch Ryder Cup golf.
Hotel does not have internet in lobby, unless you bring your own computer !! Not much ambiance, everything is black, rooms are modern cheap, shower without door, closet without doors, no drawers. a liter of beer in bar cost 26 Euros is $ 34,- !!!!! ( 1/4 liter 6,50 Euro) Breakfast around 25,- Euros, 10 Euro surcharge for Room service on top of already expensive prices. Expensive Restaurant. Nothing " cheap " if you drink and eat in this place
Excellent ... Good for smokers after 36hr flight. Extremely quiet. Secure parking. Room service all above expectations.
Everything was all right, the room was clean and comfortable, the view on the 15th floor was amazing. The reception staff is friendly and helpful. Bus stops and underground stations, which let you access the whole city are quite close, especially bus stop round the corner. A really nice bar on the coast almost in front of the hotel.
Free wifi - is 500mb per day. This is very unfortunate, and you need to pay if you need more - 10 euro for 24 hours. Would be nice to know this before moving in. The shower in my room had no door which resulted in huge paddle on the floor. Not really nice.
Room was quiet, nice not to hear other room doors banging.
No tea/coffee in room and not available thru room service until after midday, and then a Eur 10 service charge on top of cost of drink!!
clean, comfortable, good location
no tea or coffee in rooms as an older person having a tea or coffee first thing in the morning is bliss even holiday inn express have this
The 20th floor bar gives a remarkable view over the port of Hamburg. Good location. Nothing to complain about.
The 20th floor bar opens only at 18:00h
The location is the plus of this hotel, with most rooms having the Elbe as a view. Very practical rooms and a big shower. Styling is also v gd. The restaurant in the hotel, waterkant I reckon, is fabulous. I believe its the best in St. Pauli. I was there everyday. The staff at the Waterkant are tops. I would like to underline a big difference from the front office staff to the waterkant restaurant staff. My following critique goes to the front office mostly. Kudos to the management at waterkant and the chef. On the 20th Floor there's a good cocktail bar.
The ratio; value for hotel is over rated. I stayed during the Hamburg Smm Messe. Prices are doubled. Euro 320 a day. When I booked I opted for a business package thinking this would grant me high speed internet. I didnt bother reading the small captions what business package meant. Cost 25 extra a day. I can understand that prices are doubled because demand over exceeds supply, I'm in business too, but the business package is something I do not understand and I find it an offence to my intelligence. Internet was basic with a threshold of 500mb download. You will not realise there is a threshold cause terms and conditions are in german and once you try to google translate it refreshes back to german. Of course unless you can read german which I don'T. When I complained on the phone I get the non sensical response that I should have read terms and conditions and I would have known. I got high speed internet for one night for free thanks to my complaint. The successive days I had to pay. So my question here is why did I pay extra for business package? When I asked this to the front officer when I was checking out; she said business package is there to get wifi, breakfast and a newspaper. I exclaimed so why did I pay extra for Wifi. She said for next time just don't pay business package because since I didn't have breakfast its cheaper to pay 10 euro a day for internet only, rather than 25 for business package. So now I know i've been screwed double. 25 a day plus 10 a day for internet. I just didnt bother arguing further. After all its not much money but more so it offensive. Not expected at all from such a hotel. Bring 2 pin / 3 pin plug converters. This business hotel at 320 a day didnt have. When I asked staff if I could buy it around, they didnt know. I found it just 1 min walk round the corner.
Impossible to use WiFi for anything but email
Free shuttle service to the show from the Hotel. Although in a busy nightlife area, rooms are quiet and sleeping is not a problem
The fantastic view of the port and river, cocktails in the bar, breakfast, simple and classy design, helpful staff, didn't have tine to try the restaurant there but heard it is very good.
A little bit out from the centre of the city and the lakes but public transport is very convenient.
amazing location and view. Staff were helpful and we wandered around the nearby Portuguese Quarter happily and ate very well.
booking did not include breakfast as it was quite a lot more expensive.
The Hotel is just great and has a great location straight at the harbor and the famous Reeperbahn. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Overall it was a great experience.
The only thing that was great was the Wi-Fi connection, which was very slow. But we didn't really mind that.
the staff were noticeably friendly and approachable (and genuine with it). Lovely wine and drinks selection in the downstairs bar.
Aesthetically, I really liked the hotel (the bar, restaurant and rooms were all really nicely decorated) but as another reviewer commented, the check in area is rather cold and unwelcoming. Also, the ‘free wifi’ was a bit cumbersome, but I was not prepared to pay €9 for 24 hours access to high speed as I only needed access for 3 hours or so
Rooms are very nice, and ouers (707) had A nice view over harbour. Parking in basement where very bright and safe.
Find the breakfeast buffet to expensive.
The location was excellent and the views from the higher floors was worth paying the bit extra for. The staff were lovely and really helpful.
It was quite an expensive place to stay, the king bed was two singles together and the pillows were awful!
Most of the staff were fine and polite, but not many of them know about the tourist area in Hamburg. One staff was exceptionally helpful. Anna Lena was very pleasant; her suggestions on restaurants were worth the money and the food was delicious. She has been very pleasant and my father and I really enjoyed our stay.
It would be nice if the restaurants offer lunches instead of just breakfast and dinner. Many restaurants are closed on Sundays so it would be nice to be able to eat lunch in the hotel while enjoy the fantastic view of the port.
Good facilities, central location.
The view, location. A great experience
