Hotel Engelbertz  

The hotel is very nice and clean. Staff is most friendly and really helpful. The location is great - right near the main shopping street, Koln Dom and the main railway station. Breakfast was very home-type, delicious and with good selection. The rooms are very basic, but we had all we needed, and everything was clean and neat.

We read in other reviews that the hotel is noisy, as its right near the shopping and bars. So, we asked for a quite room when checking in. We were put in a room with a window into the inner yard, which we were happy to have!!! I was travelling with a young child, so we appreciated this help a lot!

I chose this hotel on the recommendation of Rick Steves Germany book which states that the Engelbertz is a "fine family-run" hotel-and am glad I did! It's conveniently located near the station and cathedral off a fine promenade. No complaints at all-really enjoyed my one night stay.

The Hotel is very good located. It is placed only 10 m. from the shopping area, on quiet small street, and it is also very closed to the train Station, from where you could reach easily all you need, for example Koeln Messe, Airport and s.o. Friendly stuff, good breakfast, comfortable and clean rooms. Next time, when i visit Koeln again, i will be for sure also in this Hotel.

The location was great, really in the city center, near the Dom and shopping area. Breakfast was really good and tasty. I think it is worth for its price. I had a single room, and there was a single bad, it was a bit unusual as I got used to at least queen size bads, but it was quite comfortable and I slept well. Of course, the noise isolation is not so good and you can here voices from naibour rooms, but I already got used to and do not pay attention to this. In general it was cleen, well located, friendly stafff and good price.

It was a smoking room before, and some light smell was still present in the room.

sehr niedriger Standard, einfachste Zimmereinrichtung, Frühstück eher bescheiden (Kaffee wie so oft: Wasser mit Schuss); für eine Übernachtung in zentraler Lage in Ordnung

Nettes Personal, sehr freundlicher persönlicher Kontakt, unkomplizierte Absprachen (unvorhergesehene Spätanreise). Alles nötige und zweckmäßige vorhanden, kein überflüssiger Schnickschnack.

O atendimento deixa um pouco a desejar, bem como o cheiro do hotel. Isso mesmo, o hotel tem um cheiro estranho, tipo encanamento sujo, mas o pessoal de lá tá acostumado e não percebe.

Essendo già cliente , conoscevo già le note positive : buona posizione, serietà staff, reception 24 h hotel consigliabile a persone che non guardano solo l'aspetto esteriore delle cose ma la particità .

Ik vond de prijs voor de kamers wat wij hebben betaald, niet overeenkomen met de uitstraling van het hotel.

Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach eingerichtet. Bei einem preis wie diesen hätte ich etwas mehr erwartet Es fehlt an Kleinigkeiten. Das Zimmer hatte noch nicht mal einen Duschvorhag, so das nach dem Duschen alles nass war. Außer Handtuch und Haartrockner gab es keinerlei Baduntensilien. Das Mobilliar und div. Einrichtungsgegenstände wirken sehr alt und abgenutzt.

Situation exceptionnelle a 200m de la cathédrale, personnel très accueillant et serviable. Excellent rapport qualité / prix....

Chauffage réduit a sa plus simple température... Odeur très fort dans la salle de bain. Problème de tuyauterie d'évacuation au niveau de la douche.
