Hotel Excelsior    

A very good and reasonably priced hotel with helpful staff and a convenient location close to the railway station. The excellent breakfast and free mini-bar were appreciated.

Location near train station and IFFA expo

The bathrooms need to be refurbished to the standards of 2013. Shower heads medieval and wash hand basin too small just below the mirror that makes it even impossible to wash your face!!!!

The food choice in the morning was excellent. The place was clean all the time.

Friendly staff. Superb value for money with free juice, water and soft drinks in room, free tea, coffee, cake and fruit in lobby, free wi-fi. Very convenient location over the road from the Hauptbahnhof. Very quiet too, surprisingly! And good free breakfast!

Shower didn't drain well, but no big deal.

Its just across the Frankfurt am Main train station, very convenient for a stop over before flying back to home country. The breakfast is quite a good spread and the mini bar in the room is free. The staff at the front desk are very helpful and cheerful.

If the room is facing the main road and train station it would be quite noisy. The room is not sound proof so you can hear talkings from your neighbours and along the corridors.

Free minibar, close to central train station, buffet breakfast, free business centre, tea/coffee/cakes/fruit at reception between 11am-7pm, free welcome drink at Goethe Bar with friendly service from barman Klaus, loved the balcony we had in room 516.

We didn't get to stay there long enough!

Excellent location right next to the train station. Well insulated, no intrusive noise from the railway or surrounding streets. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Free minibar a great plus and wifi performed fine.

1 tiny lift very slow, another even smaller (2 people max kinda size)... not reeeeaaallly enough for 7 stories. Toilet / bathroom akward to navigate as door gets in the way.

Very close to station. Clean. Good staff. Good selection of breakfast included. Complimentary tea and coffe always available in the lobby . Free mini bar in room . Very satisfied

Lift a bit slow

It was great to find a hotel just across the road from the main station. Very good breakfast. friendly staff. Good wi-fi connection.

The water went off twice while we were there, but a problem was being attended to and it was back on within half an hour.

Free mini bar and free telephone make landphone number is free.

Great Location, great breakfast buffet, and very friendly staff. Our concert tickets were there to pick up upon arrival. Great value, and a fan was delivered to our room upon request. Right across the street from the Main Station and light railway trolleys. Free mini bar with Pepsi !! Would stay there again. Room in the back side of building was nice.

The only issue was a slight smell of drain gas in the bathroom. By putting some water in the floor drain helps with is issue. Small issue, not a big concern.

The proximity to the Exhibition Complex. The availability of means of transport within easy reach - Trams and Buses. The location is tourist friendly. Also the provision of free drinks in the room and refreshment in the lobby.

The Bathroom is quite small and tight with potential Health and Safety concerns. The breakfast dishes were boring.

Location is very accessible to transportation, just across Frankfurt central train station. Room is clean and provides a private and quiet setting. Staff are helpful. Breakfast is good and stuffed with choices. Minibar with drinks is free and replenished everyday. Basic snacks is provided at the lobby until afternoon.

Elevators are slow.

This was my first visit to Frankfurt, Germany and over all I like everything.

Just across the road from the main railway station. We were arriving by train and leaving the next morning by train. We have stayed before. Serves the best and most comprehensive breakfast we have ever come across. Cold or hot, European or Asian.

"Free minibar"

The beds in this hotel are the absolute worst . The beds have no back support and are connected to a mattress on the floor . Other than the fact this hotel has no air conditioning this is the worst feature of this hotel .

Free coffe and biscuits till 1900 and free minibar. That was the only thing fine. Breakfast is truly great. Basically and quite estrange, food was the only good thing at The Exelsior

Extremely expensive for the quality it offers. 94 euros per night is almost outrageous for this hotel. Small room, old furniture, extremely small bathroom without a window... Fortunately I was just one night.
