The rooms were very comfortable and we slept very well in the comfortable beds. It was also very quiet considering the location next to the bus station.

The room was for 3 adults and had decent sized beds for all. The breakfast was quite nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Very close to the train station. Our heat did not seem to work very well. Internet was free but not very good connection.

Good location, only a few minutes walk from the city centre. Good breakfast. Off street parking available (for a charge). The hotel is situated on a fairly busy road which means that it can get a bit noisy if you need to have the window open (and you have a roadside room).

It's the kind of hotel I dream of! Family-run, friendly, very clean, excellent breakfast buffet, comfortable well-lit room, less than 5 minutes from the train and zob station, and an easy 10-minute walk into the centre of the Altstadt. I would definitely stay there again!

The breakfast was really good and generous. The room was quite and clean and the hotel is in general noiseless but cozy. It's near the old town (10-15 minutes by feet) and in front of the bus station and next to the railway station, so the location is perfect for a little trip in Lubeck.

The very best bath shower that we encountered in our stays at four different hotels in eight days. The breakfast was bountiful and great. All in all, Hotel Excelsior exceeded my expectations. In addition, the location truly is just a short walk from city center and I never would have guessed we were across the street from the train station. Our room was so quiet and clean. I would definitely stay again. Not a complaint, but I was surprised that shampoo and conditioner were not provided. Fortunately, we had shampoos from a stay at another hotel. As a rule, I don't want to be carrying shampoo when traveling ( just one more thing to pack)

Perfect, actually, starting with wonderfully efficient and friendly staff, total cleanliness, excellent breakfast, no complaints whatsoever. I need to go through Lübeck at least once a year and this will be my regular stop-over from now on.

Excellent city hotel. Immaculately clean, very friendly and helpful staff and a varied breakfast. Good position for walking into city centre. Area busy but our room at the back was quiet with an interesting view over the rooftops to old Lubeck.Parked car in multistory across the road for 8 euros for 24 hrs.

Location in lubeck - close to everything (train, bus, river cruise, and historic downtown). Great breakfast Reserved a double room...very nice, except the large window in the room was blocked almost entirely by a roof of an interior walkway, so the room felt like a dark cave...

Very helpful staff -- when our son needed medical care they responded with great efficiency and compassion. Also an excellent breakfast. Very close to train station and within a short walk of historic section of Lubeck. Overall, an excellent hotel. A small complaint, but the wi-fi connection was not as strong or reliable as I'm used to.

Excellent hotel, good breakfast. We were also allowed to leave our car in the underground car park all day after checking out whilst we looked around the city. We felt it was also worth paying 6 euros for the secure underground car park, rather than the one outside the hotel next to the street as we had valuable items and other luggage in the car as we were touring.

The Hotel Excelsior was cosy and well equipped hotel near good traffic connections. Hotel was in good condition and the staff of the Hotel was very friendly. Hotel is exellent choice for Lubeck explorers.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The room was very quiet, we didn't hear any sound from the other guests at all. Breakfast buffet was very good. The parking in the garage cost 6eur per day, which we didn't know. The free parking was only outside and it was all full. The staff at breakfast could have been a bit friendlier. Other than that all was great!

The receptionist spoke excellent English but did not partonise my German. She was very efficient and could not have been more helpful. The room was lovely and the breakfast excellent. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from both the train station and the old town.I Fully recommend it.

Excellent hotel and great value for money. Location close to the train station as well as the city centre. Staff was helpful. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable beds. Breakfast included in the price which had plenty to choose from. Would stay there again!

“This is a very friendly comfortable hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It was extremely clean and we were lucky to be upgraded to suites at the same room rate we had been quoted for bedrooms.
