Parking possibility. Silent area
No free mineral water in the room
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty with a good choice of various local foods. Bedroom clean neat and very presentable. A bit too warm at times.
No lounge for guests to sit in; there were a few settees scattered along the corridors. Would have liked a room to relax in other than our own bedroom.
Location by train station only a short walk to town. Friendly staff.
Free parking very limited. We were very lucky to get one of the few spots in front.
Everything is OK just the room numbers at the elevator a bit confusing and beds too soft.
Staff was very helpful and nice. A 2 minute walk from train station and across street from buses. Very nice, updated room and bathroom. Great breakfast. Comfortable and very clean.
Nothing not to like.
Very good value for money
Access to the hotel is slightly difficult as there is very little room between the road and the hotel
Great location (3 steps from bus station, 200 m from Hauptbahnhof, 500 m from historical old town), friendly staff (evening tea, set for ironing, laggage storage), quiet room. Finally, they have a rooms for smokers, if it's important for you :)! Small disadvanteges: no minibar, no facilities for tea making, washing complect is too limited. But it's no matter and ultimately it's a 3 star hotel.
Very close to the train and bus station. Excellent breakfast. Charming garden, but it was raining so we couldn't use it. We were given a 'garden view' room, but you'd have to lean out of the window and look down to see it; not worth paying extra for.
The fire escape plan showed a route that would have required us to go up half a floor in a dodgy little staircase, across to another building and then down; if there were a fire, I don't think it would work....
Location very good - less than 2 minutes walk to bus and rail station and 15 minutes to historical centre; Staff were pleasant and professional; Room was large, clean, with a big bathroom; Breakfast was good quality.
Lift a bit small, 3 people plus luggage was about the limit.
close to station and within walking distance of town
Everything one would expect of a modern city centre hotel. Very well placed for the train station.
Helpfulness & friendliness of staff. Close to train station & die Alt Stadt.
Wifi reception poor in bedroom so that I had to go into hallway or near reception to keep from losing contact
Very good breakfast
Excellent staff and attention to service detail.
Very good breakfast and comfortable and clean rooms
Nice and friendly staff
The rate for staying has increased too much over the la nest year
Short walk to the Altstadt with good cafés and shops
Nothing not to like
Convenient, easy to live in with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast excellent.
Close to the railway and to the city center.
The hotel´s garage and parking places were full and we had to park several blocks away.
Nice location, Nice rooms. Parking
No minibar, small breakfast-room
Location, cleanliness, breakfast, helpful staff, bathroom, parking. Better than I expected.
Only two things: Our room was very dark in the day and had no nice view from the window. Beds were too soft, not good for people who have back problem.
- we booked a room for 3 persons but got a 2 person room - free car parking announced but don't count on it - 150 euro is way too much for what we got
The hotel is right opposite the train and bus stations but I had a quiet room at the rear of the building. I liked absolutely everything about the hotel. I received a warm welcome, my single room was quite spacious and extremely comfortable, nicely furnished with a very good bathroom - everything spotlessly clean. The staff were kind and friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. The breakfast was exceptionally good and although the dining room was very busy when I went in, there were plenty of staff to replenish the buffet and re-set tables. I thought the hotel was expertly managed with the accent on making sure guests were happy. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Excelsior; it's a really nice place to stay.
Only the fact that I was there for just one night. I wanted to stay for a week!
