Holiday Inn Express Frankfurt Airport  

The best part of the Holiday Inn Express Frankfurt Airport was the Continental Breakfast. The food types available was excellent and should suit most travelers. But beware of the food vending cooler in the lobby....no best before dates on sandwiches or anything?? After that however, the hotel is typical h-i-x and is generally suited for a short lay over between flights. One should be aware that this Holiday Inn Express is not in any way similar to those found in North America. That's not a bad thing, but room size is about half the na size. The room was clean however was void of anything to sit on except the bed. The room also had the distinct odor of stale cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking designated room. The hotel itself was clean and had a nice size lobby with lots of tables and chairs, and lounge with tv.

The shuttle service sucks. Be aware that it is not a 24 hour service. It runs something like 06:00 - 23:00. So if you got an early flight departure, or a very late arrival remember this h-i-x is not located at the Frankfurt Airport so you are going to have to pay out some big Euros for cab fare. The shuttle van is only a nine pax and one must reserve a seat and time. Imagine nine passengers with luggage...crazy. And the shuttle serves Terminal one and two so expect delays. My wife and I waited two hours for the shuttle to pick us up at Terminal two (14:00 -16:00). I phoned the hotel six times querying when the shuttle would arrive. I was given so many lame excuses for it's no show. Yes, if I were to stay at this hotel again, I would save the frustration and simply get a taxi to the hotel. Which by the way, is exactly what I did when it came time to return to the airport for flight departure. The shuttle service sucks. This is not a complaint, simply a fact and meant to serve as a heads-up.

We would definitely recommend this hotel. It was located within 10 minutes of the airport and for a 5 Euro fee per person provided a shuttle to and from the hotel to the airport. The room was immaculate and a nice continental breakfast buffet was included in the very reasonable price of the accomodations.

We were 100% pleased.

They overcharged my credit card and said they will give me a refund but I didn't get that refund! Very annoying!!!! And they ignored the price I had from your site...you should do something to make sure your prices are honored. They cost also your reputation!

Stayed there as we had an early morning flight. The location of the hotel was good as it is close to the airport. In addition, it had good facilities; a bar in the evening and a great buffet breakfast.

My room was full of mold and I left completely congested.

The room did not have a locker & wardrobe, which are very essential to store your belongings. Also, a mini bar was missing. Restaurant was also not there in the premises.

I felt cheated when asked tonpay 5 Euros for the shuttle. This was never mentioned on Booking.Com website when I booked the room. I was under the impression it was free. Secondly breakfast was just so so. I have had much better ones. Room is really bare essential. No note pads and no pens!! TV didn't work. Forgot my toothbrush but had to go down to reception to get it myself

The staff at the front desk were very courteous and helpful both in the evening when we checked in and in the morning when we checked out. The included breakfast was very good.

Didn't like that we had to pay for internet service--5 Euro for 30 min. Was really a lot. Didn't like that the computer was right in the middle between check in desk and elevator, so there was no privacy. The Holiday Inn Express in Singen, Germany, where we had stayed 3 nights prior to our stay in the Frankfurt hie, had a free-use computer in their lobby, which was in an out-of-the-way place so there was at least some privacy, in addition to being free.

The rooms were clean, The beds have a lot to be desired, ( but it appears to be normal for Germany). For the hotel being an Airport hotel,it was difficult communicating. We are from the us.
