Hotel Famosa was ideally situated for walking into Dusseldorf's city center. Plenty of local transportation close by also. Plenty of shopping. Very easy to reach from the international airport. No, we had a great stay. The quad room was very large - beds are very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean, and spacious for europe. Staff were very attentive and breakfast was very satisfying. Lovely hotel. |

Even staff did not speak English, but their attitude are good. Location is not close to the main train station. the toilet is not in the single room. that's a big surprise. |

The staff were friendly and it was well situated, only 10 minutes from the main train station and 5 minutes from the main shopping area. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The room was advertised as a king sized bed, so we expected a large room with a large bed. It was a very small room, just a bit bigger than the bed's which were 2x 3ft beds pushed together. It was also at the front of the Hotel, which is on a busy main road, so very noisy. |

Public areas very smart, nice clean room, helpful staff (I speak no German). Location good for main station and trams to Altstadt, and Wehrhahn station on the S7 line from the airport is also only a short walk. Minor points really. Breakfast could be better - my wife does not like processed cheese or cooked meats, and would have preferred some fruit or better cereal. Lift only starts above 1st floor. It's in a slightly scruffy area, with residential apartments and basic local shops, but no other hotels. We did not feel unsafe, even at night, but some tourists might feel a bit self-conscious. |

The location of the hotel is ideal, near to City Centre and the centre. The room was gorgeous, the comfy bed, plump pillows, white crisp bedlinen, thick robes and towels. The interior of the rooms was very contemporary and tasteful with friendly staff. The attention to detail and service was perfect. Honestly, It was even better than I imagined. I will definitely be going back. |

We booked the room with one french bed but received the room with two big beds!! Very polite staff, good breakfast (we missed time for breakfast but it was no problem for hotel staff). Good locatin, jusr 15 minutes by slow walk to the city center. Supermarket next door. It was no problem to leave our luggage at the reception. Very good hotel for vety reasonable price! |

The hotel is close to all amenities such a train station, bus stop (bus direct to DUS airport) and very close to the city centre. The guy at the reception is very helpful, the room was quite big and clean and the bathroom too. Very happy with everything for a very good price. We truly recommend this hotel to everybody. The only bad think is the elevator, there is no stop on the ground floor, starts from the first floor. No suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. |

The bed and linens were good and the room was very clean. Staff were friendly. Surrounding area was a bit derelict... traffic noise through closed window and ear plugs made sleep difficult... construction that began at 8am (hotel should have advised or offered discount)... trip-hammer and other pounding throughout breakfast that was pretty dismal anyway(watered down apple juice and very limited selection)... We chose Hotel Famosa as the rate and location were good - but if you are looking for somewhere to relax, then I would not suggest you stay here. We were glad that it was only for one night! |

perfect hotel for a short visit in Duesseldorf - clean, comfortable, central location - only in 3 stops to the citycenter, a supermarket next to the hotel, very reasonable breakfast. Highly recommended. Because of the central location, there are no free parking places near by, however in 50 meters on the same street there is a private underground parking for 10 E/24 hours. |

Staff friendly helpful also 10 minutes walk Hauptbahnof, buses/ trams plentiful, Dusseldorf Airport 20 mins. away. Perhaps little more at Breakfast, i.e: inclusions of Cereal & Yoghurt plus some fruit. |
