FAVORITE Parkhotel  

The location as I was very close to family and friends. Also the hotel is located in an area that was easy to get to and was situated close to town. The view of the River Rhein is something worth walking up in the morning when having breakfast.

Breakfast staff were lovely and so were the receptionists... The other staff (staff walking around the hotel, waitress of floor managers were not helpful at all!) For example my family and I asked if we can have coffee near the main reception/lobby over alloking the park and we were not allowed! Then one staff said 'yes another said 'no'. Our last night in the hotel we asked the staff near the restaurant if there was a bar to have one drink before we go to bed and we were told there was no such thing in the hotel. We asked another staff working around the restaurant and told us there was a place in the hotel to drink, which was basically a pub. The pub staff were really nice to us. Other than that, the palce was really good

We really liked our stay at the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable, breakfast was very good. Our 1.5 year old daughter loved the fish tank and bunny house in the lobby. The location is great, in the middle of huge park with lots of things to do for kids. Beergarden by the hotel has a playground for kids. Good place to spend relaxing weekend in Mainz.

It's peacefully located in the city park with good transport links. It has a (very good) gourmet restaurant as well as a simple bistrot and popular beer garden: a very good range, all family friendly. It's not a "chain" hotel, so has some pleasingly idiosyncratic features, like its own internal palm house, aquarium and rabbit house, while the hotel owner is of the cheery"mein host" variety, going around and chatting to the clearly appreciative guests at mealtimes, for instance.

It's a very minor point. The hotel has an older part where the restaurants are, and a newer part where the reception has been moved. Between them is an open function area, normally part of the public access area, but which you have to sort of navigate round when there is a big event on (when I stayed there, a wedding reception) to avoid intruding.

Everything, the grounds were lovely and so many out walking and biking.

The setting and the beergarden. We ate twice in the beer garden and found it such a beautiful place with good food and restful surroundings. Loved it and would recommend it. Room was also nice--although we needed to upgrade to a park studio with balcony to achieve that sense of openness. The breakfast was also very nice--even if a bit far to get to.

I found the staff very mixed. Some were very friendly and helpful and yet we got some misinformation on the buses---and had to ask again to get things clear. Then we were told the wrong place to get off the bus and my husband had to walk unnecessary blocks. Since he walks with a cane and is limited in his capacity and since we wouldn't have known where to go but for people helping us on the street, this was very annoying. Just get your foks up to speed on the buses and all will be fine.

Dit hotel geboekt voor doorreis naar Oostenrijk. Wij hadden een familiekamer voor 2 volwassenen en 2 kinderen (11 en 15 jaar). De kinderen sliepen prima op een uitgeklapt bedbank. Prima badkamer. De bedden liggen heerlijk. Onze kamer had uitzicht over de Rijn en dit is het oudere gedeelte van het hotel. Het hotel heeft nl een hele nieuwbouwvleugel. Wij hebben gedineerd in de bierstube en dit was heerlijk. Maar ook het ontbijt was zeer smakelijk en uitgebreid. Ook onze labrador was hier welkom. Wij betaalden hier 10 euro voor.

Wat in deze tijd tegenvalt is het betaald internet via hotspot. Hier zou gratis wifi op z'n plaats zijn.

Ein bisschen veraltert

Nachts um 24.00 Uhr dröhnte vermutlich ein Subwoofer in der Hotelbar bis ins Zimmer 121. Nach Telefonat mit der Rezeption wurde es leiser, aber Einschlafen war immer noch schwierig.

Отель расположен в парке,где можно погулять и покататься на велосипеде. Номера большие и современные с окнами во всю стену. Завтраки замечательные. Бассейн в отеле теплый,есть джакузи.Жалеем,что останавливались только на один день.

Довольно далеко от центра. Нет WI-FI .

Die Großzügigkeit der ganzen Anlage, vor allem Palmenhaus und die riesigen Aquarien. Der Blick vom Frühstücksraum aus. Balkon mit Blick im Park im Sommer bestimmt sehr schön. Moderne Ausstattung. Freundliches Personal.

Netterweise hatte man uns ein Zimmer-Upgrade gegeben. In der Superior-Kategorie jedoch gibt es ein offenes Raumkonzept, das heisst, keine Tür zum Bad. Die Sache mit der mangelnden Intimsphäre ist ja noch Geschmackssache, aber dummer Weise ist der Lichtschalter der Toilette (separat) mit der zum Bad gekoppelt und die Beleuchtung im Bad sehr hell. Waschbecken und Co samt Beleuchtung wiederum befinden sich unmittelbar in der Nähe des Bettes - wenn also nachts jemand auf die Toilette muss, sitzt die andere Person automatisch senkrecht im Bett. Auf unsere Bitte gab man uns dann ein Zimmer, in dem wenigstens ein dünner weißer Vorhang zum Bad vorhanden war, aber auch das half kaum gegen den Lichtdurchfall. In den Standardzimmern besteht dieses Problem unserer Erfahrung nach nicht, aber dort hört man die Züge etwas lauter (nicht extrem) und es gibt keinen Balkon.
