The city is small but very elegant.
The city is small but very elegant. The main attraction are the baths, which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage transnational site. It is recommended to visit during the spring season as the beautiful riverside parks will be at the height of their beauty, but the Christmas market is also drawing lots of interest.
The city centre is realtively small, with the main shops in the lower area and the historic section with lots of scenic views on the hill overlooking the river Oos and the baths area. Excellent public transport is available for trips to nearby locations.
Special mention for the Frieder Burda museum.

The town is very relaxing and offers hiking, biking, sightseeing and of course the spa and casino. We took a free tour of the casino, which was informative and not too long, 45min. The spa is a must otherwise why go to Baden-Baden! There are two options, and they are completely different in what they offer so best to read up on them. If you want any treatments book early as they go fast on weekends. There area is beautiful and there are a lot of walking/hiking/biking opportunities to enjoy so plan on getting out from the downtown and head up into the forest. The Black Forest is less than an hour away for any day trips as well as Strasbourg. Train service is an option.

We used Baden Baden as a base of operations for seeing areas further north along the Rhine and further east in the Black Forest, and it's a charming town though of course very much an upscale shopping mecca (which is not really our thing). Now that I've seen the town I'm realizing we could well have stayed an extra night and seen some additional historic castles and other sites, and I for one (though not my husband) would have enjoyed a day at the spa!

We went for the Spa. It fulfilled our expectations.
We went for the Spa. It fulfilled our expectations. My impression of Baden Baden is City that no longer attracts the rich and famous but is an ordinary work-a-day city with great Spas. The Hotel Quellenhof seems to represent the elegance of that era on an current day budget.
The location of the hotel was great, situated in a quiet street but within an easy 15 min walk to the main areas of B-Baden including Caracala Spa. The underground parking was also a benefit. The gym and pool area were great and towels were plentiful. The bar food was lovely and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable. Our family room was spacious and had a balcony & mini fridge along with a coffee machine. We would definitely stay there again.
We had to book a room last minute because of issues with our original hotel and the staff was extremely helpful in letting us check in late. The room was very nice and clean, and the breakfast buffet was great. It’s near a bus stop, so it’s easy to get to with transit (and the bus line that runs there also goes to/from Baden-Baden’s train station directly). Staff was very friendly and gave great tips on exploring the region. Would happily stay here again.
My stay at this hotel represented one of the most relaxing parts of a recent trip. The hotel was staff was exceptionally helpful, courteous and friendly. My room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast was also very good, and met my expectations. Two pleasant surprises were afternoon tea, which was very relaxing in the hotel garden (I visited in late Spring/early Summer) and the sparkling wine served during breakfast.
Hotel was in a great location, an easy walk to town but also in a quiet neighborhood, we loved the peace and quiet of the park area outside our balcony. Room was very clean and spacious. Bathrooms were in great working order. Balcony was wonderful, and we loved the bottle of water in the room after checking in on a hot summer day. Loved the easy access to the parking lot and garage.
Perfect beautiful & stylish location, breakfast in beautiful garden watching a squirrel in the tree, a beautiful place to fully relax, very friendly and helpful staff. Diner on terrace at sister hotel my little prince was perfect at well, both food and ambiance. Perfect place to stay overnight driving from Italy to break the ride or for a longer stay at Baden-Baden.
Comfortable small hotel with a cozy room. Location on the connecting road to Baden-Baden.( Road 500) Nevertheless a very quiet location. Very good breakfast in a comfortable dining room. Reflects the hospitable character of an inn of the Blackforest area. Excellent to explore the Blackforest area in the hills or discovering the lovely spa town Baden-Baden.
The breakfast was extremely nice and tasty -- we recommend the egg specialties, which we had every morning. Baden Baden is a small town, but the location of the hotel was perfect for us -- it's on a quiet street very close to many of the city's sights. The room was also very clean, if maybe a bit on the smaller side.
This small immaculate b&b was a real find. It was a super location in the heart and near the spas of Baden-Baden. The owner himself served breakfast each morning on the top floor, and made sure everyone's stay was going smoothly and offered any assistance. He's a native to the city and was a pleasure to deal with.
Exceptional hotel. Well located. Convenient parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Great shower with high pressure. Breakfast room spacious and comfortable, staff gracious and food better than most. Rate was bit expensive, but worth it. Would stay here again if we returned to Baden-Baden.
Picturesque and quaint area, just outside Baden-Baden. Walking trails and vineyards around. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Beautifully finished bathroom. Good breakfast in a spacious breakfast room.
The hotel is only a short walk from the town centre and has a couple of restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The staff were very helpful. It was value for money for a stay in Baden Baden, which is quite expensive.
My favorite place to stay while in Baden-Baden! Second time here and nothing could outbid this hotel - location wise and price wise! Plus a bonus breakfast and quite flexible check-in/check-out!
The hotel is in a great location. It is easy to access all of downtown Baden-Baden on foot, whether the shopping or the thermes. The staff are wonderful and the room was comfortable and quiet.
