I chose this hostel because it's convenient located near FFM Hbf. Bfast service was not bad and I appreciated free wifi in bedrooms and in common areas.
Really poor cleanliness in bedroom (hair everywhere and bed linen didn't seem to be changed after the previous stay) and in the toilettes: WC more than once was left there in disgusting condition for a long time during the day. Bedroom and bathroom had really basic service. I would only recommend this hostel for a one night stay, considering you wouldn't like to spend more than that being surrounded by prostitutes, pushers, homeless and wasted people. Definitely the area is one of the worst in town!
Good location close to the main train station. Very good reception by the staff. Modern and nice decoration in the communal areas and my room. Private bathroom in my room of 3 people. Varied breakfast until 12:00. Bedside table and hangers...
District with erotic shops and sleazy people hanging around in the streets but nobody bothered me and the hostel is very secure
Everything Was brilliant Location Near to Train Station
I love all things in this hostel! It is a really good place for solo traveler~
Lots of goodies with no charge! WiFi, Lockers, Towels, etc... The guy at the reception was kind enough to find a bed for me towards the inside part of the building which was much quieter than the front side at night.
- very close to the Hauptbahnhof - late check-in possible - there was some problem with the computer, so I had to wait for check in, but the personnel handled it nicely and I´ve got a free drink as a compensation at least
- When arriving late, I would recommend to have a good look on the map before as it might be unpleasant to get lost in that area. However, it´s easy and fast to get there when you know the way, so it didn´t feel dangerous. - It was quite noisy outside and some man snoring in the room, but that can happen in any hostel.
WiFi in each floor, free pasta for dinner, easy going people, free (deposit) and big locker box that fits an entire suitcase. Safe rooms that one can only enter woth a hotel card. In general, the idea of offering services with no charge, just a deposit (locker, towels, etc)
Bank-beds were a bit shaky.. I could feel every move when the guy sleeping below me was changing his sleeping position! Also quite noisy at early morning hours, so it's a choice of either fresh air or street noise..
The atmosphere of the hostel is fantastic. The staff is great-- friendly, fun, efficient. There are organised activities during the week, tours, films, everything. Nice bar. The building is very secure. I had a double room with an en-suite bathroom, and the bed was comfortable, simple but well-thought-out room, nice little bathroom with rainfall shower-head, which I thought was a nice little touch. The area is full-on red-light district, and I mean, hardcore red-light district-- the ladies stand and lounge outside various premises next to large beefy dudes; there are druggies in the shadows and corners; and the many policemen on duty are the muscly tough-guy sort! But it's lively and interesting, and, well, it's Germany, so one never really feels that freaked-out. Location is fantastic-- super close to the main train station (Frankfurt Main hauptbahnhof). Good breakfasts, simple but hearty. Good internet connection-- lots of servers, one for each floor. I was impressed. Oh yes, and elevator!! Which is just so wonderful when one has luggage!
The bathroom smelled like a damp drain; the whole third floor was hot and damp-- I think the air circulation is a little wanting. The room faced the road, which provided an interesting view, but the cigarette smoke from the street kept wafting up into my room, and I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. :( So I had to keep the windows shut most of the time. It IS noisy otherwise, as well, but that's to be expected from a lively area.
Staff was super friendly. I was able to get some dinner at the hostel for a reasonable pruce, great if you arrive in the evening and don't feel like walking around the red-lights area. Felt very safe, with two buzz-in doors always monitored by a staff-member. The room was clean and tidy, with beds already made up. Showers were excellent! Plus a usefull luggage room and lockers. And the breakfast was also really good! A really good hostel, good atmosphere, excellent value for money!
Staff was friendly, direct, and attentive to needs of customers.
Women's showers was flooded, that was gross.
I still have itches that I ve been scratching for days now...backbites, termites or whatever? THE BEDS WERE NOT CHANGED FOR 3 NIGHTS, WHY?
The staff was extremly nice and helpful Close to Frankfurt HBF (literally a 7min walk) All the information was in English (Sadly this is not a standard in Germany) Good breakfasts Interesting neighbourhood (Red Light District). It seemed to be safe, no-one seemed to bother us there.
Red Light District makes the place a bit noisy. However, the staff claims they will "take care of any noise" if asked. There are earplugs availible at the reception.
Comfortable night's sleep. Good location for city centre. Good breakfast. Fast check in check out.
The floor in the bar was being resurfaced, so the whole bar and seating area was unusable due to the noise. The pillows are c**p!!
Staffs are welcoming, fun and nice. The hostel is clean and it's very closed to metro and the main station. They said it's a bit dangerous there but it's fine as long as it's not too late.
The lift is out of order often. They said there is no safety problem but I felt unsafe.
The staff were very welcoming, it was free pasta night when we arrived and they let us eat some pasta before checking in which was nice. The bar was open till 4am and had a decent happy hour. There was loads of information everywhere about the area and other helpful things. Complimentary all you can eat breakfast, free tea and coffee all day long, free wifi, theme nights!
The red light district was very seedy and not actually a fun place to be out and about in but the staff are more than happy to advise you on where to go instead!
They upgraded our room into a bigger room with a kitchen. Staff was very friendly, nice and fast! They have different program everyday, when i was there they have free crepes. They have bar at the lobby, and small backyard for drinking. You get a chance to meet other people. 5 mnt away from the main station.
Abit dodgy location because it is located in a red light district. You can see a drunk people and homeless walking around, dont walk on your own at night. They are harmless, just need to pay attention while you walking to the hotel.
no lift, we were assigned 6th floor and it was difficult to carry the luggage. breakfast was very simple with no variety.
The price The location
The breakfast is not excellent The internet connexion
Nice atmosphere and good quality in a central area
It's a bit busy outside (red light district), but ok
Very friendly staff, the room was very good and well-equipped, I did not expect i.e. to have a TV in it. The bathrooms (there were 3 for 5 rooms) were really great and very clean. Breakfast was ok, too, especially as it was included in the room rate.
The only thing that was not good was that the elevator did not work and I had to use the stairs to get to my room on the 7th floor... anyway, managed to get there and back :-)
The staff was helpful and the location was centralized.
The elevator was broken and we were on the fourth floor.
Not allowed to bring friends to the hostel, very conservative policy, but probably owed to the location...
location is good. Near the main train station.
Noisy neighbourhood. Squeaky bunk beds.
The staff was really nice, the sheet was clean
The elevator was not working and my room was on the 5th floor, so it was pretty bad to arrive from a day tour and have to go up 5 floors...
