The location and the excellent decoration of the common areas such as the restaurant. It should also been stated the high standards of cleaness in any place of the hotel. I would recommend a bit of more friendly welcome.

It was a clean and acceptable hotel. Food was good and the waitresses were very helpful. I prefer one double bed and not two singles. However, the only negative point I have.

Location next to Rhine river. When we arrived they had given our rooms (we had booked 2 rooms) to other guests. We booked due to AC on list. they tried to give us a room with no AC and it was hot and humid. No elevator. We opened windows in the 1 room we had for 1/2 hr and closed back up before we left for dinner because the AC wasn't working yet. When we came back, we spent part of evening killing large black spiders! No phone in rooms! Had to go up and down 4 flights to ask for anything! No hypoallergenic bedding except one body pillow in hotel. While showering, water kept going from VERY hot to VERY cold. VERY unpleasant! Breakfast was mediocre at best. Cereal was stale. Flies everywhere. We were going to stay 2 nights, but we got the ____ out after one. Claims to be 3-4 star but I would give them 1.5 to 2 at most.

This hotel is located in a lovely location and has a terrace overlooking the Rhein. Our room was very comfortable - with air conditioning, which was very welcome. We found the Reception staff to be helpful but not overly friendly. The hotel is located about 5 minutes driving out of St. Goar but we had a car so it wasn't a problem for us. There are two railway tracks on both sides of the Rhein but with the air conditioning it wasn't overly noisy.

We used this Hotel as an en route rest place. The food and local wine was excellent, if the Hotel was located nearer Sankt Goar, we would consider staying for a week. Good parking with air conditioned room, a great start to our holiday.

We had a new room directly on the Rhein. The room was great, with a sofa and extra seating, as well as a refrigerator. The room wasn't quite finished; the shower enclosure and telephone had not been installed, but these items were not really problems for us and once they are installed, it will be terrific. The breakfast was generous and the parking was adequate (and free). The hotel is far enough from the village of Sankt Goar that it would be necessary to have a car. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant, though the terrace looked very inviting, with its great river view. The free internet was pretty slow and therefore, frustrating to use. My biggest, and really only complaint was that being close to the river, there are many flying insects, and the hotel is aware of this and warns against opening the windows. Better would be to have screens on the windows so they could be opened.

Excellent location right on the bank of the Rhine. Spacious riverside terrace, on which the staff willingly served breakfast as well as other meals. Good food. Plenty of free parking. We had the spacious 'maisonette' which occupied the roof of the annexe, from the Rhine to the road. Excellent double glazing meant there was no noise from the road or railway on the west side of the hotel. The Landsknecht is a very comfortable place to sit and watch the life of the Rhine.

The room was quiet and overlooked the river. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and even my four-year-old was happy with it! The location was a little ways up from everything else, which can be good or bad depending on what you want. The shower had a weird wet dog smell when I used it.

Grossartiger Service. Keine Einschränkung bei Mitnahme von Haustieren. Gutes Essen!!
