We had the most amazing stay at this hotel. The owner carried our bags up to our room and got us settled in and was able to get us a table at the restaurant as we had arrived late and did not make reservations. The restaurant service was top class and the food was very good. Our room was very comfortable and perfect for a family of 4. Breakfast the next morning was also great with a very fresh buffet and eggs and coffee made to order. It was an easy walk from the hotel to the city center for shopping and sight seeing. We will be coming back to this hotel next time we are in Stuttgart and will tell all of friends and family.

We were there in August when the weather was hot. There is no air conditioning. The hotel is on a busy street and is very noisy - so we could not leave the windows open at night to cool the room off. It was peak season and the hotel restaurant was closed. It is a fairly long walk to get anywhere from the hotel - and an uphill walk to get back.

The staff was incredibly helpful. My husband felt ill while we stayed there and the staff offered to make him something small for dinner from the bar even though the kitchen was closed.

The staff was very nice. The facilities are in poor repair. The carpet is really bad and the room needed painting.

Arrived to the hotel very late at night because of the flight connections. Contacted the hotel to inform and they was very service minded and decided to wait for me. The old hotel manager himself locked me in and carried my suitcase to the room where fresh fruit waited. And with his cheerful appearance, he made me smile. Good breakfast and nice staff. To be recommended. That it was smoking allowed inside in the bar next to the reception.

Hotel is situated directly on main street with huge traffic and have very poor infrastructure. We could not get table for the dinner, because of reservations from outside or closure on Sunday and Monday. No chance to get something to eat during the day (even some snacks or cake).

We were put at the 5th floor. However the lift only goes to the 2nd floor. So we had to carry our heavy trunks up to the next 3 floors, which was a really bad experience especially for me after driving 3 hours. In summer you have to keep windows open because no aircon in the hotel. But the hotel is along a main road which is quite noisy even at night. Therefore we didn't have good sleep during our 2 days stay.

Beautifully decorated (this comment doesn't do justice - it was *really* lovely), the staff were friendly and the fantastic koi carp a lovely extra. The room was a little hot even with air conditioning and I toasted my fingertips on the hairdryer. The shower was lovely but it did send water everywhere! Still, this didn't matter as there were plenty of lovely soft towels to mop up with :-)

The location was 1.7km from the train station, so it was convenient. Bath robes were provided. Everything else. Our room was very dark and the interior design was depressing. The bed was rock hard. The bathroom was so small and dysfunctional. The photos on booking.com showing renovated bathrooms were misleading. Which rooms have these bathrooms? Ours was in need of renovation! The toilet was so close to the bath tub that it made the toilet uncomfortable to use, you have to sit on it sideways. Plus the toilet seat was broken. The shower head points directly at the towel rail, so you have to use the hand shower. There is nowhere else to hang your clothes or towels. So small that it's difficult to move around in the bathroom. Plus...the door is see through glass! The pillows were terrible too. Not worth the kind of money that we paid. Left feeling that we were ripped off.

The toilets, they were new and clean. The view from our window was descent, we got to see some small ponds of Koi and during the night they were lit nicely. The location was the best part about it, it was 10mins walk from the centre. For a four star hotel it seemed a bit over rated. The beds were old and the pillows uncomfortable. Some people from the staff didn't speak English, and there was no elevator, so we had to walk our way up to the 5th floor. After 1am they closed the main door and the bar. There was no wireless signal on the 5th floor in our room. Expensive and poor breakfast.
