I really liked the staff -- especially front office and bell staff! And i liked the fruit baskets available in the lobby in the afternoons. The breakfast buffet was also good.

One day towels were left wet. There were no English language channels on TV, not even news and very few ( 2 ? ) pay TV.

This is not the usual standard of the Sofitel chain!
It is fine for a one night business stay.
The evening meal we had was expensive and not very good and i would not recommend eating here out of choice. I would not recommend guests to eat in this restaurant if they have other options.
The original room we were allocated in the west wing had beds that were too hard for us. To be fair to the management they solved this problem efficiently and moved us to a better room later in the day that was more comfortable.
The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been and one of the curtain rails was faulty. The tv had no english speaking channels.
The staff and management are helpful and polite but there is a distinct lack of attention to detail here - maybe they are always busy and don't need to try so hard. On the whole we had a very good rate and so did not feel cheated but the food definately needs improvement.

The hotel seemed a bit pricey for what you get. There was only one reception and it took 15 minutes to check in when there was only one person in front of me. The room's toilet ran non-stop. The location is a little far for walking even though the reception said it's just a twenty minute walk away. Well that might be ok if it wasn't in the middle of winter!
