Gasthof Fraundorfer  

A wonderful family owns and runs the hotel and restaurant. Third time I've stayed there, and it won't be the last.

Setting - G-P is a beautiful location. Also the vue out one of our rooms was fantastic. Rooms were large.

Noise level of people drinking and eating on the side walk at the restaurant below our room. This went on too late (later than 2300).

Bavarian food, entertainment and hospitality. Was easy to meet new people - evenings were never boring. Music, dancing and conversation flowing freely. Plenty of food available for breakfast - perfect for a day on the slopes.

The hotel was on the historic Ludwigstrasse which has a large array of shops, restaurants and bars. As part of your stay you receive a visitors card that allows you to ride the city bus for free; there is a stop just down the street from the hotel that you can catch the bus and it takes you all the way to the Garmisch Classic ski area. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good and the room was clean. Didn't eat at the restaurant but it seemed very busy so reservations might be in order.

The pillow (1 each) was very, very soft and kept going flat during the night which made my neck and back ache.

The location was perfect. Food was excellent and plentiful. Good value.

The internet never worked. Unsure if it was an Apple issue or not. Also, nightly festivities were pretty loud until about midnight.

It is located on the historical street which is in the center of Partenkirchen. It has very good restaurant with traditional Bavarian cuisine, also you can enjoy traditional Bavarian dances every evening. Rooms aren't big, but clean and comfortable.

I loved everything about this hotel, the friendliness of the whole staff, the food, and the awesome room with a beautiful room with a spectacular view.

Thank you, Barbara, for your hospitality and amazing food! Peppi is fantastic singer, boys do very funny bavarian dances. We had a lot of fun and hopefully will stay again.

Just lift. We need a lift to carry our luggage to the third floor.

This was our 4th time staying at gasthof Fraundorfer and we loved every minute of it. We took my parents with us this time and they couldn't stop talking about the uniqueness of the hotel atmosphere, the food and the entertainment.

Great service and atmosphere. My son got very sick and we required a new comforter and pillow late at night. They were so considerate and genuinely concerned about him the remainder of our stay. It was very kind and sincere.

Atmosphere, old building and decor. Comfy beds, warm clean rooms. Entertainment was good.

Expected very friendly staff, they were not as warm as led to expect based on reviews. Restaurant service was not great and food only average.

Without asking bill was run in dolars (I wanted Euros), this added over $20 to final bill payment.

I loved how the small town feel! If you are looking for a quaint and beautiful place to stay this is it. It is not your typical hotel. I liked that it was different. It fit my trip and what I wanted.

Perfect location, clean, excellent rooms, excellent staff, excellent breakfast... can't wait to go back.

It was a return trip for us after living in Germany for 17 years. Wonderful Gasthaus and best European breakfast I've ever seen.

Our stay was very good the staff was very friendly, breakfast was very very good a lot of food, location vas greate it was in the middle of garmisch 5 min drive from the city center.

One of the owners got mad at us, we have parked in the spot that was supposedly "blocking" driveway which it was not the case there was no sign to let us know "do not park there". Instead of knocking on our door and letting us know to please move the car we were told in the middle of breakfast in front of other people that in our country usa we would not park where we did, so it was very rude and humiliating.

Very English speaking friendly in the heart of Partenkirchen and an easy walk to Garmish.

Not really a dislike - we knew it coming in - but you will hear the festivities in the guesthouse's restaurant until about 11pm - if that's ok with you then it's not a problem.

Location: center of Partenkirchen, walking distance from train station and center of Garmisch Private parking Excellent breakfast ...and great restaurant for traditional dinner!!! The best in the whole town Perfect solution for daily hikes to Zugspitze (by Zugspitze Bahn), Alpsitze, Wank, Partnachklamm, and Höllentalklamm (GORGEOUS!!!)

Since we were hiking everyday, for perfection we missed a place to dry our clothing: the bathroom could be a little larger or maybe a common dry-room... Just for perfection!
