Location, friendly staff, clean and a good breakfast buffet.
Missing bath robes, slippers, not fluffy towels, only one pillow and no complimentary drinking water. Room service early at 11:00 pm.
The wellness section is nice and quiet. Breakfast is great.
The location, staff, room, everything is great. The breakfast is expensive but worth every euro since it is excellent, the best we ever had.
Wireless internet in the room should be better. There is a better connection but as I understood you have to pay and I think it's not ok. Wi fi should be free.
The first room I got was small and dark but I was given a better one upon request. Personnel was very helpful.
Should not conquered as 4 star hotel. Old and not renovated
The location is excellent, the service is excellent, the rooms are excellent.
Some of the reception staff are really bad, for example I wanted to extend my stay, there is one guy who always say "I am sorry we. Are fully booked" and after one hour I went to the other guy which he said "we do have 23 rooms available"
The room was massive, the bathroom clean and also very large, plenty of space. There was an armchair and a table as well, the view was good, decent soundproofing as well. Just a jump from the station and staff were friendly. The rate was on par (8 euro difference) between the Ibis across the street, but room was twice the size.
The internet was hard to connect to and sometimes dropped completely. Once it did load in it was fine.
Old. Should be renovated
The location The hospitality The staff
The room, the stuff, the location (very close to the center), 24hours open cafe at the train station opposite to the hotel.
Incredibly expensive breakfast. 20euros per person? You must be kiding. Parking should be cheaper.
Usefully close to train station and town centre. Huge comfortable room (we got one of the big triangular ones) with good bathroom. Breakfast very varied and all excellent (especially bacon!). Some mix-up about agreed price for booking but sorted at the original price without argument.
Nothing! Would certainly visit again.
Nothing. Well location is good if you need to be near the train.
The room was freezing cold. There is no thermostat. When I called down to desk they sent a space heater which promptly caught on fire the minute I plugged it in. I informed them that they may want to ck all space heaters and they did not seem to care. This hotel is a fire trap and the staff is very rude.
1.This hotel nearby the tramway station and very easy to park your car. 2.The room is big and comfortable.
Value for money Great location Clean Friendly staff Parking (not cheap)
Declining..... Has not changed a bit the last decade
Location is wonderful
Room size is small
we stayed in Freiburg for just one day, came and went by train, so the location of the hotel we liked - 3 minutes from HBF and 5-7 minutes from the old town.My husband did not like the mattress and pillow, but in this respect I'm not very choosy, so It was fine for me. Otherwise, everything is good, but not better than in a three star hotels in Germany, in which we stayed.
In my opinion this hotel is not quite 4 stars. Firstly, a terrible smell of sewage in the lobby. In my opinion, the price of 110 euros for a double room overpriced. Did not like that the hotel charge a deposit to the card (not block, but removes it) in the amount of 200 euros. Which is returned after check-out, but in fact I get them back only after 3 days.
No tea coffee facilities inside the room
The location and the cleanliness only
Small double beds Small rooms ( even the superior ones) No personal touch The personel does only what they are said to do, otherwise they are like computers. No care.
The hotel had a bad smell that you could feel it as soon as you passed the front door
Having asked for a quiet room, we were given a room in front of the elevators, with a bunch of chairs right outside it. People simply sit there at 8am and chatted all morning. We couldn't sleep. On the last day we asked for a late checkout - something that we were always granted on the previous years (we have been coming regularly to this hotel for the past 3 years). The request was refused - "get out at the time sharp". The excuse - they needed the rooms (this on a Sunday? really? I checked the availability of the rooms on booking.com, and they had plenty - so we actually got a lie). They didn't even bother to check which room we were at. Total disappointment - we won't be using this hotel again. Obviously something changed since the previous years with the staff / management. And it changed for the worse.
1. Proximity to the town centre and easy parking 2. The hotel offers smoking rooms, very nice and clean
sink leaking, toilet flush did not work, dirty carpet, pool pretty old,
Comfort and location
Bar not open until 6pm
